I'm terrified of needles, but I have as often as I've been allowed since 9/11. There are young men and women facing bullets and I'm afraid to face a needle? Nothing like shame to motivate you, is there? :/

As an 'A- blood type' I used too all the time. But since Uncle Sam sent me to such fine places as Africa, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the P.I. it seems the Red Cross has an bias against me. Now they seem really interested in my son an 'O+' guy and regular doner.

yes, as long as I am healthy. Blood is not an item one can make and sell...it has to come from human beings. It is good that we can donate as much (or as often) as we can because you never know that you might end up one day need those blood.

I have the low blood pressure. Actually, all homosexuals and bisexuals are banned from donating in the USA. You could be an HIV negative lesbian with the same partner for 50 years, you're still banned.

sorry but a while ago i had an injury (some one chucked a knife at me by accident) and lost quite a lot of blood and didn't get donors blood, because others needed it more and the donor rates were low i can still live with the amount in my body, but if i lost a lot more id probably die, if i had a average amount of blood i'd donate it, i didn't take the others supply, so i don't feel too bad about me not giving blood .
