Teri- Oregon 2012/03/17 18:32:27Yes. No one deserves such hostile treatment.

You don't know the persons story, so you have no right to judge.
Not just weight but anything else for that matter! I am not afraid to speak up and have many of times about many of things, make a scene, I do not care!!!!
I have no trouble standing up and speaking out against bigotry and bullying though, when I see it. Doesn't always make one "popular", but staying silent makes you just as guilty, I think.
Choose to belittle based on /surface looks/ .. and guess what .. your business will suffer in the end (and yes, word of mouth will be making sure of it .. )
(I'll speak up if someone is being rudely talked about .. there's no excuse .. and being Vision Impaired myself .. I've had rude comments directed at me (due to the blindness) .. these folks making these comments are just rude, shallow .. ignorant).
Retailer employees are usually very intimidated by me for some reason. This kind of teachable experience would make them dread ever seeing me again in their store.
