It is doable but not nutritious so would have to grow my own vegetables again to make up the difference. I could see a lot of casseroles, stews, soups, etc with that type of budget.

I raised a family of 4 on 100 a month, but then we grow/ hunt/ raise most of our food. Lazy people rely on the filth from the store.

hmmm,well i guess i must be lazy then.... i also live in the city,cant exactly hunt around here or even grow a garden since i live in a small apt.

Nahh, I could. It wouldn't be too pleasant and I'd have to give up that lovely thing called variety but I could. Worst comes to worst, I'll have to eat unhealthy for a month. Mr. Noodles is still good :)

I don't know because I never tried it. It is two dollars a day.Ttoday I only ate a ham sandwich and a couple of potato chips.

I have been recently eating gluten free, due to a health issue and it is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. Especially with not eating pasta or bread, and other what I consider to be staple food items. So I feel like to live on 60 a month would be extremely challenging under the circumstance.

I've dropped 15 lbs in 6 weeks but a lot of that has included chicken, tuna, vegetables, eggs, and supplements to keep myself going. While my grocery bill's gone down, the amount I'm putting towards nutritional needs has gone up a bit. I could do $60 every other week but not in a whole month. If I did, we're talking about high-carb, low-protein, and perhaps high-fat in order to keep that up. Not too thrilled about the prospects of being fit on that kinda diet.

Then again, if I lived in middle America, my answer may be different.
