We have them. No competition that way. Kids don't feel inadequate if their parents can't/won't cater to whatever is fashionable. It was evident things like that took place when we had no-uniform days.

I'm plenty individual with my uniform. Point being, my clothes aren't even remotely all there is to me. They're what I wear and nothing more.

I used to go to Catholic school, and Everyday everyone had to wear their uniform and i hated it, everyone looked the same, and their was no way to step out visually from the crowd...I can see what you are saying, but for me clothes are a creative outlook.

I wore School uniform all the way till high school. I personally think is more convenient. It made me save time by not having to decide what to wear to school, then I could use my nice clothing for other occasions.

it takes away individuality. and the fashion line will not be the same. at my school we are geting them because of steryotyping and the rich kids makin fun of the poor kids, but when they get their clothes, uniforms, at Aero they can make fun of us poor kids cause we dont have enough money for that, and yes they can cause the symbol has to be smaller than a quarter. and also, the kids who wear dark makeup and weir their hair in a awesome way to me, weird way to ohters, will still get called emo/goth/punk whatever. nothing will change, we will just look stupid.

this is happening next year and i have what im gona wear already. black skirts when warm black pants when cold purple and grey shirts and gloves i want cause it says nothing about that my converse and whatever jacket i have. if they want me to take my jacket off inside they can get over it cause i get cold easily and i dont have a jacket with no hood. converse are tennis shoes, am i not correct? and on the paper of the uniform, it says the laces have to be solid and the shoes have to be solid. for my b-day i am asking for the knee high fully black converse at journeys.it says nothing about how high they have to be. and i am not pushing i am doing exactly as the rules say ^-^ im a stinker.

but seriously! i mean in private schools, uniforms are fine cause they pay a lot of money but not public! it takes away everything of ours! its takin away who we truely are and making us communist actually, well in my eyes. but yeah i hate uniforms. and my family dont have enough money to buy a whole new wardrobe. i hate uniforms.

I believe you just proved yourself wrong.
"rich kids makin fun of the little kids, but when they get their clothes at Aero they can make fun of us poor kids cause we dont have enough money for that"
That sounds pretty 'pro-uniform' to me.

Because you're showing the bad sides of having a regular dress code. o.o
    [The part I quoted.]
If you're for regular dress code instead of uniforms, the key is to not argue against your own side.

If a school specifies uniforms, it shouldn't be something that you can buy at Aero. That's the schools' failure.
Typical uniforms aren't supposed to have anything that sticks out on them, including labels such as Aero, Abercrombie, etc.

i know, but it says the symbol has to be smaller than a quarter, which it is i believe. this school is messed up.

Studies show that during class photo days, where kids tend to dress nicer, there are less disciplinary problems.

no kids will still act up in class and they will still do stupid stuff. well, not unless the government puts mind controlers in the uniforms lol

I think that is fair to say that is your opinion, but studies have different results.

Speaking from the Australian viewpoint where government and private schools have uniforms, the inclusion of the uniform provides positives. It enables students be easily identifiable by their uniform which is especially good when on excursions, removes the competitiveness of who can out dress who which in turn, allows students to concentrate more why they are there. Uniforms are also made from a stronger fabric which costs less in the end.

IDK because in AZ they had just gotten rid of the uniforms for elementary schools a couple years ago, and parents were POed because they had just bought new uniforms for their kids (my brother one of them). I would hate going back to uniform if I was still in elementary school because I had to wear it for 10 years!!!!!!!!!!

Then again, uniforms would come in benefits since you won't have to worry about fashion teases and kids not knowing what the wear every single day.
