Would needing a license to have children make the lives of children better?

Potential adoptive parents have to go through lots of crap to get approved. Biological parents will never understand that. I've always wondered if this promotes bad parenting. People who actually have to work to have children would seem like they'd be better parents, first of all because they have been checked out by the authorities, and second because they appreciate having that child.

I would like to think so...actually, I think that people who want to have children need to go through family therapy and parenting classes and they would have to show proof that they attended and passed a parenting course. They would alos have to show proof that they are capable of caring for a childs basic needs.
Sounds like a lot but maybe the reality of child care would prevent people from taking it for granted.

its up to the foster parent if they wanna treat them well or just abuse them make them or give them harsh job

I'm not talking Foster parents. I'm saying people who want to have sex and have children and raise that child. Should they not have to prove they are capable of raising a child?

There are a lot of folks that break all kinds of laws now. A license mandate would not stop them.
