I don't work but my mom works at a restaurant as dishwasher. It's horrible. She has to stand for many hours and sometimes she gets cut really badly. Sometimes she goes in at 3pm and ends up coming out at 3am. Now that i think about it my mom's a hero! lol

Hmm! Had so many its hard to pick a worst. Probably cleaning fire damaged houses in prep for restoration along with demoing the burnt areas. Hard and dirty work.

A CAD Drafter job at a civil engineering firm called Cantellou & Powell in Melbourne, FL. The son of the company's founder took over, and what a jerk this guy was:

He did not know how to train people.
He did not know how to treat people.
He never once sat down with me to discuss any of the projects he had me work on, despite numerous requests for meetings.
He was always screaming and yelling at people, including Powell, who was nice and was a retired State Representative.
He got rid of all his good people, but kept all the drunks who missed many days of work without even calling in.
    The entire office was trashed.
He falsely accused me of causing criminal destruction with company documents.
His way of firing me was to chase me into the parking lot at the close of business on Friday at quitting time - yes, that's what he did.

The result: His once mighty firm went out of business.

I'm interested that you say Wal Mart. I am very torn about Wal Mart. I have seen the documentaries that show it as an evil corporation. I know how Wal Mart comes to town and puts the independent small business owners out of work, but there is always that argument that Wal Mart provides jobs. And I have to say that the employees of my local Wal Mart seem content.

They come and put other businesses out and out of every ten that losses their job Wal-Mart highers two. The wages go down and the people are encouraged to get help from the government now that they no longer have a living wage. They do offer health insurance but it is extremely expensive ( particularly for those who are just the drones ) and it is worse quality than welfare insurance. The percentage of people who work at Wal-Mart that have to get government assistance is higher than any other business. Wal-Mart works very hard at making sure no one can work full time and they do not really like you working elsewhere because then you are not available to them 24/7 as they like. They are not good to most of their workers and their workers are treated like they are thieves. You get into trouble constantly because one manager tells you how to do something then another manager comes along and tells you to do it differently then yet another comes along and tells you that the other managers are wrong and to do it his/her way. When the first one that you talked to comes by later and sees that you are not doing it his/her way you get into trouble even though you tell them that others have told you to do it their way. If you do the smallest injury to yourself like run over your toe with shopping carts while doing the Christmas rush to give people carts you have to go get an escorted drug test after they make you go get off the clock. They change your hours around AFTER you have checked them and have left. They tell you they will not change hours after they make them but they lie and tell you that you did not look at your schedule. They do a wonderful job of making sure that you know that you are worth nothing and it does not matter if you go because they will higher some other schmuck. Of course they have a very few that they treat well because you can't have everybody being treated badly or that can't make the others look bad. Wal-Mart is also the biggest outsourcer in the country and they have Wal-Mart towns in China where the people work 12-14 hours a day seven days a week for just a few cents an hour. No paid sick leave, no health benefits, no paid vacation, or any other benefits such as discounts from their stores. They have dorms you must live in and they are small rooms with about 6-8 people per room and one bathroom on the floor for sharing with 6-8 other rooms that are the same and you have to pay rent. you are allowed to live outside of the Wal-Mart town but you are still required to pay rent for the dorm room. You are not allowed to live with your spouse or have your children with you so you better hope that you have friends or family that will literally raise your child for you. This is the reason that you are getting those blessed great prices, because of the slave labor in China and a couple of other places and the fact that they pay their American workers very little and only part time ( unless you are an unloader or loader ).

Yes, this is the picture painted in the documentaries I've seen. I only shop at Wal Mart a few times a year and go elsewhere if I have the option. We are supposedly getting a Target and I believe that is a better company.

I have never looked into Targets policies but since there is not one where I am at I rarely go there. I think maybe ( not sure ) that I bought one thing there or just looked for something. My friend goes there once in awhile when I take her shopping once a month. I do 96% of my shopping at the local stores that some how survived Wal-Mart. my shopping at chains consists of Safeway and Costco. Of course I go to girly places like bath and body but that is fun type stuff not the needed monthly's and basics.

Many of the independent local stores did not survive here unless they are highly specialized, though some of the large chains are still preferable to Wal Mart. We have a store in Canada called Shopper's Drug Mart. A friend of mine works there so I know they are good to their employees. There is another one called London Drugs. These chains are all successful pharmacies that have expanded over the years to offer a wider variety of products, good customer service and are Canadian businesses. We don't have a local craft supplies store though and sometimes I have gone to Wal Mart for that type of thing because their selection is better than the drug stores. We have had a Costco now for about a year and a half but I have not yet been in it. I rather resent having to buy a membership.

    Zoo Caretaker:

Zoo Caretaker Licks Monkey’s Butt To Help It Defecate

"50-year-old Zhang Bangsheng used warm water to clean a small Francois’ Leaf Monkey’s buttocks, then began using his mouth to lick it, not stopping for over an hour, until the little monkey defecated a single peanut. Only after the peanut was defecated did Zhang Bangsheng laugh with satisfaction."
    Source: chinasmack.com

"Because the monkey is too small, it wasn’t suitable to use medicine to let it defecate. The only way was to lick its butt, to prompt it to defecate the peanut, and so the scene at the start of this article occurred."

As a dishwasher , and all around flunkie , I remember peeling just a single ring around potato after potato (the small red ones) for months. It was the restaurant's "trademark" look for their potato dish. And the owner's wife wanted the chef to cook her a special dish of fish livers so I got to dig through a big pile of fish guts and find the little yellow livers for the chef.
