People, especially woman, are like flowers. Every stage of their growth has its own beauty, but the last phase is always the most glorious. They don't need to pump themselves full of chemicals to create a false sense of beauty. The perfection we all strive for is an illusion. People need to come to terms with their own natural beauty.

Ok all you twenty and thirty somethings, its easy for you to talk about growing old gracefully because you arent there yet. This is a generation that is all about youth, the elderly are kicked to the curb. I do everything I can to slow down the aging process, I want to look as good as I feel. I hope that you guys will work as hard as I do...it might pay off.

I really don't know. My daughter has had botox injections, and her lines are gone! Also, my daughter in law has injections for migranes, and what is left over is injected in her forehead, and she looks great. So to me, it is not a waste for them. Personally, would not touch the stuff.

Botox is being used with lots of success for migraine, parkinsons and cerebral palsy. Most here dont know what the hell theyre talking about...

Why pay money to inject toxins into your skin when the results are not permanent; not to mention you pretty much HAVE to keep up with it, because not doing so makes you look worse than you did before you had it?

I'm pro-plastic surgery. If it makes you feel better about yourself, do it. It's all body modification in the end. However, I'm against doing it stupidly. Get it once -- get the nose job, the breast implants, the lipo -- whatever is a one time, permanent thing. Botox doesn't give a good effect, nor is it worth the time and money spent on it. I'd rather save up my money for something that will last me the rest of my life, not just the rest of the month.

I believe it has medical uses (don't quote me on that, I could be mixing it up with something else) but I'd consider it a waste of money for cosmetic purposes. There are worse things to do with your money though.

Botox was originally used (and still used) to help people with medical conditions. Certain forms of cerebral palsy (spastic) sufferers have been helped immensely. It's also used for acute migraine sufferers. Just because a bunch of vain men and women decided it makes them look younger by paralyzing facial muscles doesn't negate its original usages.

you can only fight father time so much. genes certainly have alot to do with how you look as you get older (look at raquel welch in her 70's-she's still smoking hot) but even women with good genes eventually get wrinkles, grey hair ect. you cannot escape it! it is a fact of life.

No one ever thinks of natural beauty anymore. Just be proud of who you are. Make up is one thing, but that is just plain stupid...one thing people should also think of is that botox is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. and your injecting that into your body
