Junk food is bad for you. Not getting involved in other people's private lives is just being decent. She's lived to 116 for a reason.

That has to help, but Johnny Carson had people over 100 on the show, all of the time and they always said their secret for longevity was cigars and booze!

It was probably their sense of humor that got them through.

I agree. Just being happy with whatever you choose to do and be seems to align with all the various advice. Some do a shot of whiskey and a pack of smokes a day, some read their bible, some are sexaholiics, some play a sport, some do crosswords, some travel, but it all comes down to doing what they like to do. Be happy, and keep happy people around you.

I said no because Staying out of my business means not to tell me what to eat also.

She wasn't telling others what to eat, but answering a question about what she thought contributed to HER long life.

I say stay active physical and mentally ,be friendly.
guard your temper .take care of yourselves

Take care of your business try to avoid worries. Enjoy life.

But also each person is put here for a reason and do the best that you can.
And that incudes helping others.and obeying God's rules.

And ask for help from God with the rest.

How old are you, though? Have you reached an age where people are going to listen to you?
  • SundayS... wtxwoman 2012/08/30 13:21:02
    SundayStoleYourCookieDough
There is no "age where people are going to listen to you". That isn't defined by how old you are, it's defined by whether the things you say are actually smart or not. o3o
  • wtxwoman SundayS... 2012/08/30 13:50:26
    wtxwoman
No, that's not exactly true. People tend to listen at you more as you get older. Gray hair seems to imply knowledge to some people. I'm saying pretty much the same thing as I did at thirty, but I find people really do listen more now. It may have something to do with the presentation, I don't know. Most people actually do know more, if they have any sense at all, as they age.

Most elderly that I've met aren't that foolish, they just no longer care what anyone thinks. Even if they choose to check their mail wearing only a diaper.

I've always been that way and, now, I'm noticing that I seem to be getting worse. Having a guaranteed income, however small, a stable roof over your head and reasonably good health will do that, I guess.

It's not the chocolate that's junk food, it's the sugar. Mix some cocoa with honey, nectar of the gods.
