Quantcast

Worked my garden this morning. Do you have one?

My green beans aren't doing as well as I'd hoped, but still doing. Cuckes and tomatoes are doing very well, and my corn ain't bad. We're trying watermellon this year but I don't think my soil is right for them. Lots of vine and buds so far but no mellon.

Tomatoes, beans, peas, carrots, corn, radishes, lettuce, and a whole other bunch. Ours are just starting to flower since here is colder than on your side.

My soil is just no good for radishes. This was my third time, they just won't make a decent bulb. Second variety too.

So far no problem, my lettuce seems to take it's time but it's definitely growing.

So am I. I planted them back in May when our temperatures were in the mid 70's and then we had a cold spell I'm talking about low 50's, so I do not know. They're growing but it's really slow. I have radishes that I give them away, the peas from what I see are going to be plentifull, cucumers look good so far. This is the first year when we actually did a garden, I grew up in the city but my husband's the one that was raised in the country so I'm assuming he knows what he's doing.

Same with me, I planted the last week of April, first of May. My beans are producing but they haven't grown past two feet.

My husband started planting about the same time as you, I couldn't help him because of the c-section,we only planted the beans(pole beans) in mid June but they are already about 2-3 feet and climbing, some have flowers already. Hope the weather holds tough.

It may be a bit cooler here this week. It's supposed to be about 38 below boiling today.

LOL! I know it ain't funny, but it's 103 out in my garden now, supposed to cool to the high 80's this week. I started at seven to get done.

It's getting darker just now, so I think we may get a thunderboomer in a few. Sure do need some. Always dry here in June, July and August.

This year we had summer in April and May, and now it's cold. Like I said we reached 80's yesterday, right now it's about 63, and if it does not rain for a week we panic. That's the way we are here.

WOW! We had a cooler than normal spring, then near record highs, now going back to our normal hot & dry. real steady rain is rare here in summer so TB's are welcome if not too bad.

had lots of good rain this spring though.

We have one long rainy season from about end of October until March, the rain is off and on we might have snow in there too. In April it starts getting spring like but still have some rain, mid to end of June we get the really nice weather 70-90 range with a day or two in the 100's but at least one day a week it rains, or during the night it rains. This year tough it has been crazy, summer weather in the spring and spring like weather now, but than I live in a convergence zone.

I can remember one summer we had an almost continuos rain from May to July, then another when it rained every wensday from the end of may thru july.

    Strange things do happen sometimes.

Tomatoes, peppers, egg plant, peas and beans. So far, everything is growing well. With this heat, I have to water the crap out of it though.
