I choose not to use birth control anymore.. I put on a lot of weight with them, and they never regulated my periods. I tried the implanon (implant) and had it in for 2 1/2 years. In that time I spent more time WITH my period than without. Nightmare! Haven't had anything since and my periods have returned to normal again..

I guess if you're having troubles with birth control, maybe you need to look into alternatives. Do you need to use it for reasons other than as birth control? If not, is there anything else you can consider like the diaphragm or the likes?

i've been on the pill for over a year now but i've never missed more than one tablet other than those day's you're suposed to not take them so you have your period so i can't help you that much
but i know my mum has gone on and off them and i know she's never complained of nausea due to it, although she always has moodswings, haha
But yeah, like everyone else i'm gonna reccoment seeing a doctor asap

I was on the pill for years and had no side effects at all. After I had my 2nd child my doctor tried to talk me into the implant that lasts for three years. I refused. she wouldn't put me back on the pill because i smoked so we "agreed" with the depro shot. It lasts 3 months. I only got the one shot. It totally screwed me up. I had cramps real bad without a period for 3 months. I went off of it not knowing that the effects could last up to a year. I finally got my period 4 months after the shot. My period lasted 2 weeks. i stopped bleeding for 2 days then started again. Bled for at least 7 days before stopping 1 day. This went on for an entire year. My doctor said i was okay and did nothing but check my iron levels one time.
The next time I tried birth control was 7 years later and that was the patch. I liked it at first. My only problem with it was the rash it left when i removed it. I always had a round, red rash on one part of my body for three weeks.

I am on the birth pill now but I was on it previously as well. I used to be on Diane but have switched to Yasmin. After I went off, I think I may have put on one or two kilos and I had a lot of acne.

Plenty of people have bad reactions to the pill and its a myth that it is a safe, reliable drug. There are so many types of the Pill that you may need to go back to your doctor and ask just what type you are on and whether you should change. Different pills release different hormones.

It's birth control. It does the exact samething as the pill, but it's a patch. They give you three you wear one each week and then the last week you take it off to have your period

Wow, never heard of that before. Sounds pretty interesting.

Why can't you change? There are so many types of the pill which you can try out. Regardless, you may have to wait a few weeks to see any effects from taking them.

You should definitely absolutely 100% be going through a doctor. There is no way in hell that I would support a woman going on the pill without the qualified opinion of a medical professional. No way in hell. Excessive bleeding, nausea or cramps are only SOME of the side effects. I only take the pill knowing that any other existing medical issues will not clash with the medication. Why are people so blasé about these kinds of issues? You can have serious health problems from the pill...

The midwife at my hospital is the one who put me on birthcontrol. I am not any kind of birth control anymore and my mom is looking for a new doctor for me outside of town. I also know the health risks that comes with the patch
