Bad news for guys with two left feet: Women prefer men who can dance to those who can't. In a study from the University of Göttingen, in which 53 women watched two men dancing side by side, "women spent roughly twice as much time looking at good dancers, and also looked at them more often," says study author Bernhard Fink, Ph.D., an anthropologist at U. of Göttingen, according to Men's Health.

The ladies especially appreciated fast bending and twisting movements of the head, neck, torso and knees. And they found the good dancers to be more attractive and more masculine, Fink says. Plus, women see a man who can dance as confident, outgoing, social and conscientious, he adds.
It gets worse: Women see men who can't dance as uptight or neurotic. They are particularly turned off by small or slow movements, and by guys who repeat the same move over and over again.
Uh oh ... are you a lost cause on the dance floor? How About We suggests giving it a go anyway. "Should some happy-footed friends drag you to DA CLUB, suck it up and do your best. Consider exaggerating your bad dance moves to humorous effect -- self-deprecation goes a long way with some girls. Whatever you do, don’t brood or wear your dancing-induced anxiety on your sleeve. If there’s one thing worse than a bad dancer, it's he who refuses to dance at all." Do you agree?

Stereotypes aside, it doesn't come off as a surprise that women prefer men who can dance. Dancing skills, social skills, and confidence aren't exactly my shining traits. No wonder I have no girlfriend...
I was once picked up in a nightclub. The woman's line was "You know how a guy makes love by the way he dances." I can not dance. So I am assuming the opposite. I think they just like it if you try. Doesn't matter if you can or can not.
I just do it to socialize, if all my friends are gonna go and dance, then I'll probably join them.
No one tells people who enjoy reading or watching movies that they're being inefficient, even though video games require actual mental skill and develop your reflexes (Studies show that kids who grew up playing video games make better drivers and pilots) somehow video games is seen as a "waste of time". How odd.
