Women have been more intelligent than men for a hell of a lot longer than there's been a test around to prove it. Intelligence tests 'look' for traits which those who formulate them want to find. In times hence, nobody wanted to find any indication that women were smarter--just as they didn't want to find any indication that blacks or Jews might be smart back in the thirties.
The best definition I ever heard for 'IQ' was that which an intelligence test was designed to measure. If you start out with a biased measure, you're gonna get biased results. Shocker!

I only make a pretense of thinking, every so often, just to give her the impression that I care.
Now I use my time for more mundane and mindless pursuits.
This is why men are better mechanics and engineers and women make better psychologists and police detectives.
Anyway, she said, "men are like big boys they never completely grow up and have been known to do good old boy things and get into trouble....." I didn't bother to correct her poor grammar and other errors in English.
The point is, her mentioning having a husband and 4 boys, then denigration their intellect does not show love or respect for the men in her life. Judging by her English skills alone doesn't make her come across as a very bright one either. I pity the men in her life.
Men, in many ways, are big boys, just like women are big girls. I'm certain that this is not how she meant it, but I know that when many of the men I know get sick, they become a bit needy and, frankly, infantile. That's fine, in my opinion, because they're sick. Heck, I love that, because it lets me baby them, but I'm a very maternal person. Women, on the other hand, don't stop gossiping like little girls on a playground once they reach a certain age, nor do they stop dressing up baby-dolls... err, babies, if they did/have them.
However, women counteract their intellect with way too many emotions. Truly, I work better with men than women. For men, often it's about getting the work done. For women (in my experience) it's more about emotions.
We need each other... we make a great team. :O)
They are just more educated these days.
