Woman Designs Dress Out Of 555 Ikea Bags: Terrific or Tacky?

Earlier this summer, we introduced you to the gummy bear dress. Well, prepare yourself for the next obscure -- but much less delicious -- creation: the Ikea bag dress. The Ikea bag dress was designed by artist Ida-Marie Corell for a museum exhibit, and is comprised of 555 blue Ikea bags.

I gotta say, it kinda looks like she wrapped herself in a roll of tarp, but if you look closer you can see she used the bag handles for the straps of the dress. What do you guys think of this "gown"? Is it terrific or tacky?

It doesn't even look like a dress, just a random mess she wrapped around herself. She could have at least shaped it to her body first.

See the irony? The idea of those bags was to be more eco-friendly. She just totally WASTED those bags though. One small step for earth, one giant leap for people with lots of time on their hands

Neat-o waterproof cloths. Wear it in the heat of the day to sweat your abbs off wear it in the rain to keep dry and still sweat your abbs off. Brilliant.

Come on. I don't call art everything from the bin... It seems a new fashion to make something out of rubbish. But nothing else but rubbish comes out of rubbish. Especially if someone is as tasteless as using IKEA bags. Ewwww...
