I don't like to drink anything with a meal. If I'm thirsty I drink water before or after. Wine with a meal is nice but I don't do it every night.

It used to be water, one glass of wine or one Maibach or Doppelbach beer with the entree (depending on what it was), and coffee with dessert. Medications have eliminated the alcohol for a couple of years now though.

Chocolate milk, drank mostly following the meal. Usually I view beverage as a waste of good food space, provided the meal is delicious.

We have never had formal meals where certain beverages were a part of the meal. (Like beer with pizza or white wine with fish, etc..) I just get what ever is available at the moment. Usually, water or tea.

It really depends on what's for supper. Chili dogs or kraut dogs, deviled eggs and corn-on-the-cob are good with beer.

Red wine is unsurpassed with Italian cuisine.

Seafood delicacies are complimented with whites

Chocolate cake or chocolate chip cookies, peach cobbler with milk

Tea with ham and cheese on rye with bread'n'butter pickles and barbeque chips.

Water in between.
