Tax collectors, prostitutes, lepers, blind and lame, and of course the poor. The healthy don't need a doctor.

In today's society the equivalent would be the folks that hang out at that location in your city that you drive through only if you must, then it's with the doors locked. According to the Bible Jesus was a cult leader recruiting people that didn't quite fit in society.

By todays standards? FELONS. The Good Book was written by Felons. Or the equivalent of today's politicians.

I say he was open to associating with anyone. The women would have loved him. They were treated so bad and Jesus treated them with respect. If I lived back then I would have been the woman that cleaned his feet with her hair and tears.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Everyone he associated with was lost until they gave their lives to Him.

I, mostly, only know from, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and LIFE of BRIAN, so, sinners, big time, but that prostitute does not seem like such a sinner, she was good person and loyal. I love Yvonne Elliman.

I agree with the poster who said, "the ones who needed him most." Although He also associated with children and they were innocent.

Well, really both. The Apostles did become saints. I guess everyone is a sinner. Except Him and His mother! So it is both!

Jesus called the sinners to repentance. He didn't call the righteous. He even says so in the Bible. :)

Everyone, that was his point wasn't it ? I remember in high school there was a trend called born again. They seemed driven only by the fact Jesus died for us and that everyone except that. I didn't understand. I excepted that many years before. And always wondered why what he was trying to do and say for his lifetime was largely ignored. They seemed to think all they had to do was tell other people that they excepted Christ and went about doing the opposite. I noticed that with many people. You can not fool God !
