She's only 11 years old, but Willow Smith looked like quite the little lady at Saturday's BET Honors event in Washington. Willow would have fit in at the Golden Globes in her romantic floor-length yellow gown, tied at the waist. And it also would have been hard for her to "whip her hair" in this glamorous updo.

Willow -- the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- is best known for her hit debut single "Whip My Hair." She's currently promoting her song "Fireball" featuring Nicki Minaj, and she'll release her self-titled, debut album on April 3 (the album will include "Fireball"). She'll also play Annie in this year's remake of "Annie."

Willow Smith is known for her quirky style, but her yellow dress actually suited the event honoring Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou, Spike Lee and Mariah Carey. Michelle Obama was also in attendance, along with Aretha Franklin. However, Willow showed a hint of her signature style by wearing a ton of colorful bracelets for her presenting gig.

The spunky tween has come a long way since her film debut in 2007's "I Am Legend," but is she growing up too fast? What do you think of her yellow dress?

Here goes my opinion: By "too grown up" I do NOT mean that the dress is too sexy or its trying to attract pedophiles or whetever. The girl is 11 years old. Yeah, she is at an event where people dress up. The girl's entire career and attitude is "too grown up", right along with her outfit. I feel sorry for her. She needs to be a normal kid and enjoy it while she can. Her parents should be ashamed of themselves for throwing her into a very adult, cut-throat industry. I'm sure her grades are good and I bet she has plenty of friends. I just think she should act like a kid and dress like a kid. That's all.

It's a good example for other 11 year olds out there. Parents have gone to far in what they allow their children to wear. I've seen girls in my 8yo daughter's class that wear items better suited for hookers, it's obscene. Kudos to the Smith's for promoting this.

Quite frankly this is the most "normal" I have ever seen of Willow, compared to the other outfits that she wears. To me this looks ok. She doesn't have any crazy ass yarn coming out of her hair and she is not wearing an outfit that says she went dumpster diving. So....to me I have to give this two thumbs up.

It's her choice. You bash them of they are too immature . . . too mature . . . hell, everything. Her dress does portray greater maturity, but I have greater respect for her versus the provacative over-exposed twenty-something actresses that need to cover more flesh..

It's age appropriate. It's not like she's showing cleavage. (Not that she has any.) She's not showing any skin, her dress is not innappropriatly short. I think she's fine. She's 11. She's a litttle lady. What's wrong with that? She already has her career, people are gonna be watching her. Important people at that. So what is she supposed to do? Not wear that dress? The daughter of multi millionaires, Will and Jada; come out in a hoodie, jeans and some flip flops on the red carpet!!!??? How she acts and dresses is not only a reflection on her, but Will and Jada also because they teach her how to be sucessful in the entertainment business, and Will and Jada do not mess around! So, yes. I think Willow looks fine. :)

Actually, I think Ma and Pa Smith did a really wonderful job by either picking this dress or allowing Willow to select it on her own and they approved.

Remember, she is only 11 and the dress, along with the purse and jewelry was done well.

I think Willow has the idea about proper dress for the occassion.

there is nothing wrong with how Willow dresses its her money so she can wear anything she want and how she wants ! & thats everybody so what people talk about you they didnt put they hard working money to pay for it for u so they have no right to talk !

It's got shoulders, it's got sleeves, it's up to her neck and (well) below her knees. Given what some girls her age are out in, it's a model of modesty. And she looks darned cute in it.
