don't have a need for them, my teeth are really straight

I kind of wish I did though, because my teeth are crooked as sin. I probably won't get them though, they are pretty damn expensive.

I had awful buck teeth with huge gaps between them. My nickname was Bugs Bunny. I wished I could put a bag over my head throughout seventh grade, because I had to wear that dreadful Martian headgear. I had to have my upper frenulum removed so there would be even a remote chance of closing the gaps. The orthodontist ended up pulling my teeth back too hard, and it killed a nerve in the left front area. My two top left front teeth ended up turning black. An abcess developed in the gum area. I had to have root canals done on both of those teeth, and surgery to have the abcess removed. I ended up getting caps on my six top front teeth because they were such an awful sight.
Honestly, I have never known what it is to feel attractive. The concept is completely foreign to me.

I did too.

I didn't need them and I am so glad. Some of my cousins had a bad under-bite that is characteristic of that side of the family and had to have them. They weren't happy.

My dentist was amazed. Even my bf was surprised. The secret is not to put your tongue where your teeth are coming in. The proof is that my only crooked tooth is the result of breaking that rule.

Didn't need them

i never had braces, but she shouldn't have gotten her hair cut like that, it makes her look like a little boy. now she can't whip her hair. :(

11 huh? I had them to at that age myself.

.......she's 11 and she has an iPhone?! I'm 13 and I don't have a phone period!!!! WTF

But I do need them. Got a couple baby incisor teeth that never came out, and the adult teeth are coming through.

Problem is, 'Murica's health care sucks, so it's the vampire look for me!

Thanks. Admittedly I do like the appearance... problem is, eventually they'll start growing outward in a more horizontal direction over years of time if I don't get some sort of correction. :\

It's a win-lose thing... if they'd stop where they are now, I'd be okay with it actually.

luckily i never had to have them... but both my brothers did! i did want them in like 6th grade... but now i look back and im like: haha! what were you thinking?? cause most of the other people in the class had them and they would always complain about them!:)

I had lots of nicknames but metal-mouth was not one of them.

For 4 years. Followed by jaw surgery because they "didn't quite work the way we'd hoped."

yeah, my brother had them for 9 years and then had to get 2 teeth pulled so his jaw could get closed together...

Nine years? That's pretty rough

haha yeah.. they were with him in his senior pictures!!:D haha

I will get them..I think its gonna be very boring..but it worths ;D

I had mine for five years, from age 9 until I was 14. Sure it was a pain then, but I've got perfectly straight teeth now.

I have a crooked Tooth...but its near the back and hard to see so...

Damn, I thought that was Jaden..... but anyways, yes, I got braces when I was 13, and took them off when I turned 16. Worst years of my life.....
