I had the Rouse N Y procedure and of course there were some problems. I went in for 3 days but due to complications of a possible blood clot i had to stay in much longer. Then they had to put a camera down my throat, also a balloon to enlarge the anastomosis to 14 MM. Virtually all elective resections of gastrointestinal organs are followed by anastomoses to restore continuity. Long-term studies show the procedures cause significant long-term loss of weight, recovery from diabetes, improvement in cardiovascular risk factors, and a reduction in mortality of 23% from 40%. I am no longer diabetic and blood pressure and cholesterol are normal now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?...
I think I was stapled on the first surgery but the second one I was just taped with stiri-strips in case of problems It is from my navel to my sternum. Now they do it without any incision what so ever. Laparoscopic, just three holes and you are out of there. I had way more pain with my knee replacement.
I had my gallbladder out when i was 35 which is considered young and i was only 100 lbs which is considered very slim. I had an incision across my middle, with 14 staples and a drain in my back, it was excruciating to say the very least. Now they do it with a laproscope and it's a piece of cake..
They won't take it unless it is diseased or has stones. Mine was filled with pea sized stones. The pain of an attack is exactly like a heart attack..not pleasant..
5'4, 108 pounds. Actually, it miight be more like 110 now cuz I always gain wait during the summer but I haven't weighed myself in a while so I don't know.
Yeah I'd totally love to get more into it but for some reason, even though I'm a strong swimmer, I don't really like to swim as much to just hang out and play in the water lol. But I don't like facing the heat in summer so I just hang out inside and make routine trips to the fridge every 10 minutes -.- Once school starts, it's like, I actually have things to do that force me AWAY from the fridge xD
I currently weigh 228 LBS 103.41905K
I used to weigh 400+ gastric bypass works.
