Will there ever be world peace?

No not as long as there is more than one person in the world.

But only after the Second Coming.

Yes, I imagine one day there will be world peace. I think a world where nobody is at war is quite attainable actually.

No your wrong. This planet is too diverse and different to ever have world peace. Their will always be fighting. Due to people being so different this means that others clash with them.

Also peace can not be attained unless nuclear warheads are destroyed and put to better use such as nuclear power stations.

Remeber, the definition of world peace is a world without war. All those things can still exist without people actually warring with each other. War is a racket anyway, I'll bet that without the influence of war profiteers there would have been periods of world peace already.

No people will fight because of jealousy, greed, their own personnel vendetta or simple psychotic rage. So long as there are two humans on this planet someone will want someone else dead.

Its just a metaphor. Human beings are violent by nature. Why deny nature?

We come into this world kicking and screaming, i would call that violent. Its our base instinct. Do you not argue with relatives? Get into fights with friends or family? Its just who we are. Our ancestors were violent but they took out their anger upon animals for food. The modern man has learned to control his/her anger. But that, almost, genetic code is still in us, just repressed.

I think war has a lot more to do with greed than anger. "War is a racket", the most profitable of all human endeavors. Since it is usually done primarily for the profit of a very few at the expense of the majority, I think the jig will eventually be up.

It's already become virtually impossible to win a real war. I'm not talking about beating down some third world nation, I mean a REAL war. If, for example, two great powers like the US and China were to go to war with each other it would be an unmitigated mutual disaster. There would be no winner per se, only losers, and there would be no way for the elite to isolate themselves from the carnage. That's why no two nuclear nations have ever gone to war. They used to call it 'mutually assured destruction', or MAD for short.

I think that's the real reason the warmakers don't want Iran to get nukes; if they had them, it would be impractical to invade Iran, the cost would be too high. Since the warmakers don't own Iran, they want to keep the third world beat down option open.

There hasn't been a real war since the invention of the nuclear bomb, I believe eventually technology will bring a halt to all war by making it too costly for the ones who normally profit from it.

World peace will come after our all mighty God makes his second coming. Until then we will never have world peace, here in America or around the world, man is to corrupt, man is to obsessed with power

There can be no peace with the Progressives trying to go forward with One World Government. Behind the scenes manipulation causes unrest and distrust that ultimatly leads to wars.

Unfortunately, this is something that is only wishful thinking. Too many corrupted people in seats of power all over the world. Also, peace can only come about through mutual agreements, which is a difficult thing to have since people will disagree over the smallest things.

In my opinion, there are to many corruptive people in this world, power is evil and man will go to war in order to obtain it and hold on to it. I'd love to see world peace for my grand children especially.
