America (The United States) was never in the middle ages and is one of the most advanced countries. There is a movement to return to the values this country was founded on and to back away from the lack of morals and Godless free for all that is currently consuming this great REPUBLIC.

That IS a very good question. It would appear from the posts here that America does want to go back. The Conservatives want the old America where the whites were the majority, now that the minorities have become more numerous than the white population the Conservatives are fearful and when one is fearful one wants to return to a safe place in ones mind.

It just wouldn't be a religious inquisition. NDAA. Gov can take you, no warrant, no attorney, don't have to tell you charges, no phone call and can take you to another country where torture is allowed. Hold you for however long they want. They can do that right now, it isn't anything they are working on for the future. It is now.
