I am studying to be an RN and this is what my teacher said:
Although it appears that corn passes through your gastrointestinal system undigested, most of the internal nutrients are broken down and absorbed into your bloodstream. The fibrous outer shells of corn kernels, however, do not break down due to lack of the necessary digestive enzymes.
Why Doesn't Corn Break Down When You Poo?

This is a fun family values toy sold by Glenn Beck for kids of Conservatives:
Just imagine corn adding a little extra character to those shapes!
The interior is digestsable by humans. The exterior is not.
I guess you could call me a Poo-ologist. I own and operate my own ranch/farm. We get LOTS of Poo here. Makes good compost for the fields.
PLUS we have wild deer on the land and a couple of bears and at least one puma/mountain lion. Seen tracks and scat but not the animals themselves.
It is a lot of fun and a lot of very hard work. But I wouldn't go back to working for the government agency I was working for ever. Much better for my health and much better for my family.
I see you are in Canada. LOTS of good land there.
