Amen, christianboy. As for your question, the only logical reason why people wear clothes is protection from the elements...like, if it's too cold or incliment to be naked. That's the ONLY reason that makes sense. All other reasons I've heard from people are irrational, like being embarrassed or offended by nudity. That's crazy and irrational, not to mention immature. I've grown up to accept nudity as a natural way of life. Why can't others do the same?

Goodness if you believe that Eve is responsible for clothes and you don't believe in evolution you are in a sorry state intellectually aren't you! Honestly we are only barely different from chimps. Animals (orangutans) hold leaves over their heads to cover them from the rain. Thus, people adopted protective clothing as a similar strategy to improve their rate of survival. Note also many tribes of humans still do not wear anything at all. For example, the people of Borneo.

Well if you take the bibles explanation it is because after Eve ate the apple and became aware of sin, that somehow made her feel shame for her nudity and had to cover it.
I think we started wearing clothes for warmth and protection from other elements. As we grew we just became more and more accustomed to being clothed and at some point some people began to feel ashamed of their nudity. In all honesty you are ashamed because your parents told you to be. Ever seen a two year old drop their drawers in front of a group of people? They arent ashamed because no one has told them to be ashamed yet. In essence, its social conditioning my friend.
