Heeding the Ten Commandments, and doing my best to follow the Laws, I don't consider myself a religious hypocrite, I can watch any movie, and knowing I can make the distinction between what is Reality, I can watch all genre of movie, including Fantasy, and know that I can live my life still in concert with God.........

+1I'm sure you know the difference, however you still make excuses. Movie villains and movie heroes are idols. They do become idols in minds of many. Children are most vulnerable. Plus Hollywood puts out far too much violence. If people keep paying to see such movies, Hollywood will never stop; they get worse.reply

- rockyjr5 strawberry 2012/07/22 05:09:15+2You're right action heroes,and villain figures are idols, the problem is that the parents allows their kids to idol those people, so they grow up thinking that's okay to do, if the parents teaches their kids that they can't have another idol besides God, and makes sure that the child understands that, than they wouldn't have other idols. The kids pays way to much to the media, and it's the parents jobs to teach them the differences between right and wrong, teach them that they could watch those characters on TV, but not to idol them , and copy anything that you see.reply

They went on to say that reading comic books and watching superhero movies would damn your soul to Hell for all eternity. Fundamentalist groups across America often held book burnings, burning comic and science fiction books, and rock-and-roll records.

THEY ARE RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITES.+1Many believe belonging to formal religions, confessing their sins, praying, automatically makes them morally good. Many who knock on doors holding Bibles in your face are false at heart and mind. The religious preachers I have known buy their kids every idol hero toy. Children believe Superman or Batman are their saviors.

+1Tell that to those families who had loved ones shot in that movie theater. This will continue to happen as long as people keep paying Hollywood to produce such violent characters. There are many nut cases out there. This recent incident won't be the last.reply
