supposedly some big romantic gesture but i don't like it, it's a very personal decision and i think it should be between the couple, and shouldn't be a public spectacle.

Maybe the guy is trying to show the world he loves the girl, or in slightly scummier cases he was trying to back her into a yes saying corner. Hell I plan to do it a tad more intimately .

It is a sweet gesture but something that should be done intimately...the weddign is where you do your public expression of love and devotion but in public it seems classless and trashy and done in poor taste. Like when they propose to Cheerleaders at football games, REALLY!!!? When I get proposed to I want it to be romantic and intimate, between me and him!!!
