Why do people "make fun" of those who are virgins but look down on those who are sexually active?

I'll try to explain the question. Some(or most) think that 29/18/35/ year old virgins are just... weird. They even made a show about it- Virgin Diaries. But if a person is promiscuous, or lost their virginity at a certain age; that person is called names and judged. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain and say. I'm just wondering.

I think every person should do it when THEY feel ready and want to. Whether that is at 13 or 30, it doesn't matter. It's their body. As long as it's consensual and safe, why do other people care??
A lot of adults who think this sort of thing is funny, only laugh because "everyone else" is. Most sex jokes aren't really that funny, because they're all so similar. Some, of course, are hilarious-- but the rest are either about "doing it" or "not doing it".
Bear in mind that this exact same thing has been going on for thousands of years, all around the globe. If you're teased about this some time, the best way to handle it is to give them a "what a moron" look, and carry on without getting upset. They might not show it right away, but they'll know how immature and unimpressive they are. :O)
They're jealous of the virgins, and disgusted by the active ones.
