I'm usually commenting along those lines because people like to post a question that isn't really a question, but an attempt to steer opinion. But that's what I get for hanging out in the news and politics section most times too.
When I see a question where the answers are along the lines of...
yes, agree with me for reason #1
yes, agree with me for reason #2
yes, agree with me for reason #3
yes, agree with me for reason #4
No, because I'm an idiot for not agreeing...
Those tend to be more insulting then polling for opinions.
Why do people go on your question, to complain about your question?

3. Maybe it's an important issue to them (i.e. politics).
4. Online banter and entertainment on BOTH ends; the blog writer with a complaint as well as the answerers.
5. It beats "Idk" or "I don't know" answers.
