Why do i listen to sad songs when i am sad knowing they will make me more sad?

+3I read that it's actually because you get comfort, even if it makes you more sad, from he fact that other people have or are feeling the exact same way you are. Music helps people communicate emotionally in a way nothing else could ever come close to and because of this it's the only way to feel truly not alone when in the depths of despair, friends are good but feeling someone suffering just like you are is better lol. Its just support and your brain needs outside to help to heal and work through whatever you're feeling. Plus pushing you over the edge to tears can feel brilliant enough to make you want dwell on those feelings, when do you feel more alive than when your heart is literally hurting from the sheer enormity of sadness, being happy is just a lot more of a shallow feeling i guess.




















I find it's a time to be reflective and introspective.
