People who live this world are two kind good/bad people. Good cops tread or talk others nicely but bad one tread ugly to the innocent people. I don't know why some cops act this way it would be better if there is a rule against cops to stop scaring or talking a rude way to innocent people.

There is a fine line between social deviance and having a badge. That is why so many cops go "bad". They made it through the screening process by the narrowest of margins.

Wow. MOST cops are good people..There are black sheep in EVERY profession....I hate how people get down on police officers. You'd be dead if they didn't exist.

I don't need the boys in blue to protect my family! Me and my 870 can do just fine without them! it takes them 20-30min to get there lazy asses to my Place from there office/doughnut shop, I can't count on them with my life!

Maybe chaos in ur country, my doors never been locked! And don't say I don't support my troops I inlisted after high school but faild the physical cuz I'm flat footed, I was and still willing to die for my country! U can't even compare the 2 together, cops r lazy and over paid case closed, our troops are our real heros!

Good for you, and you have the privilege not to lock them because of police. That's your opinion, I disagree. I do not think they are overpaid, they are fighting for our country too. The keep us safe just like the military.

No, we have the privilege to lock our doors because most people yourself likely included don't need to be micromanaged in order to make good decisions. Police are completely irrelevant most crimes will be committed regardless of the amount of self righteous cops.

Do you realize how many people are in jail and prison? They would all still be roaming the streets committing the same old crimes over and over again if it weren't for police. And serial killers? Riots? They would have no reason to stop. Police are a deterrent whether you like it or not.

Yeah well the average cop isn't responsible for catching serial killers. In 2008 872,000 arrest were made for the possession of marijuana, thank god those mindless cops put them away I feel a lot safer now. Yes they can be a deterrent however it seems most of them abuse their powers to deter the use of your constitutional rights. Most especially local police.

They are doing their jobs. If you have a problem with the arrests they make then your issue lays with lawmakers, NOT them. I do not believe most abuse anything, most are good people, some are not. Just like with every other profession. "Average" cop? Okay, so you're being selective in who you are talking about? Cops are cops. Yes, they arrest serial killers. We never defined which rank we were discussing. They are all officers of the law.

lots of bad apples, brutalizing protesters, killing veteran protestors. beating rodney king. Talk to anyone you know i'm sure they can tell you a personal police horror story.

Ok...Those are select instances. I have spoken to many people who I know. But I mostly know good, reputable, professional people who appreciate what they have living in this country. As do I. The only bad experiences I, or anyone I know has ever had with the police is when WE brought it on ourselves.
