because they know there is a God and they hate Him- you don't curse something you don't really think exists

I assume you are referring to profanity containing the word "god" and phrases such as "oh my god," correct? Those atheists who use those words/phrases (myself included) do so because they are a common part of our language which conveys certain emotions such as anger, frustration, or awe. In their modern/common usage, they don't really have anything to do with "God." When I say them, the thought of a god doesn't even cross my mind. In fact, many theists use those same words/phrases and I'd bet that they don't think of their god when they use them either. I'm sure you know that, though. Frankly, it sounds like you're just grasping at straws in order to find something negative to say about atheists. We exist. We're not all immature kids rebelling against religion. We have lives, responsibilities, morals, and families, and we don't at all believe in your god. Our lives don't revolve around your religion and most of us don't sit around thinking about you and your god. That's the truth. Get over it.

There isn't a god, one 'superior' being can't create an entire world, or even control it. I can't hate something that doesn't exist, and to say things like 'oh my god' a lot of people say that, it's just become part of the way people communicate.

cursing God is a death penalty sin , in some countries you are fined, beaten or jailed for it is shameful to curse the creator and it is not just a saying it is blasphemy and evil

Because language is inherited. We used the language used around us. It has nothing to do with belief.

God does not exist to them, therefore, taking God's name in vain is no worse, in their way of thinking, than using any other sware word or words.

Becasue it has lost it's meaning. same reason I say "oh god" when having sex. It has nothing to do with god but has to do with the fact that it is a saying that has been ingrained into us us as something you say when up set or what not.

what do atheists say during sex

Well put. Far too many folks believe that their opinions, beliefs and their own existence is "oh so important" and they forget to live their lives in pursuit of fun. They need hobbies.

Because deep down they know there is a God and they just don't want to give in to His love. Therefore they go on the attack to anyone that does profess their beliefs.

I don't "attack" people when they express their beliefs, I "attack" people when they can't back it up with anything but the bible and try to make me believe it. The only "God" I believe in is the universe and it's evolution. Not even deep down do I believe in fictional characters or want their love.

No one is trying to make you believe anything. So don't blame Christians. If you don't believe that's your right, and we have the right to believe without being attacked all the time. And we don't have to prove anything. We believe that's enough for us.

Then stop attacking atheists! I don't blame Christians! You think that all people believe in God and attack the people who think there is. Jeez, I'm just going off of what you said.

I have never attacked an atheist, that's in your mind. We state our beliefs, then here you come, trying to make us prove it. And you might want to reread my first comment. If you don't believe in God then why are you so upset with us that do. If I didn't believe in something I sure wouldn't be going around trying to disprove something that I didn't believe in to start with. How silly.

Exactly and that's what happens, no matter what we say we get attacked, your comments to me have proven exactly my point. I gave an opinion, right away you came after me.

I don't argue religion, just state my opinion, it doesn't matter to me if you agree or not. I know what I believe, and so do you.

    Have a good life.

Excuse me for butting in but 40 or so years ago when I lived in your country folks came to our door constantly trying to make us believe something. I wish they had your attitude. A real Christian is hard to find!

Thank you very much, that means a lot to me.

I get people coming to my door too, usually Jehovah's Witnesses. Sometimes I answer the door and talk to them, other times I just take their material and end it. I won't argue religion with them either.

I don't push my religion down anyone's throat, but I do stand up for what I believe in, and no one will change my mind. I don't try to change others either, they have free choice to believe what they want.

Again, thank you for your kind words.

    Phil
You are right, HE wouldn't have posted this question. However, we are not, and never will be Jesus, on this side of our eternal lives. We have faults, HE is perfect. All we can do is 'aspire' to be like Him, but we will never atain that standard on earth, or in heaven. We WILL be joint heirs with Him in heaven, but we will never be equal to Him who thought it not robery to be considered equal to God (Php 2:6). Your Sister in the picture (and you) should have known that this is an honest question. Shame on her, and you. Rev. Phil.
