“I am looking for Love. Not the real thing, just something that will get me through the cold lonely nights.”
He looks at me like I am crazy “What does that mean?”
"I am looking for a warm embrace, whether it is empty or full of life and all it has offer. I am looking for a feeling, synthetic or real, just a feeling.”
He squints his eyes “Do you even listen to your thoughts before you let them flood out of your mouth?”
"I listen just fine. But that is what I want. I need that. Can I get that from you? Or do I need to attain that else where?"
He sighs, “Why won’t you just let this be real?”
"Because nothing is real. We live in a world full of fantasy, false promises and dreams. Let’s just call a spade a spade. You don’t love me, you don’t know me. Let’s just pretend that we love each other and call it a day."
He lifts his eyes and keeps his head down. “But I am not pretending”
