Why ask a question on sodahead if you dispute the opinion?

Okay, this is extremely confusing to me. People ask questions on Sodahead to get an answer I assume, but when I share my opinion people always seem to have a smartass remark or dispute what I'm saying.
For example someone the other day said that my opinion was irrelevant or something like that. I replied with, an opinion is an opinion. If you use fact then it is then statistical/or factual. Not an opinion. Also replied with, if you don't like the opinion don't read it.
So really, why ask the question if you don't care for the opinions??

some people love to fight, some are arrogant, and some just hate life
And because people want others' opinions, but they also have different opinions and sometimes want to convince you they're right.
