You always want what you can't have. If they had to get married there would be great rebellion also. My ex-husband is gay and he is getting a divorce from his partner and they aren't even married. If you put both names on everything you own and everything you do it doesn't matter if you are married or not!

I think there are benefits that come with marriage or something like that.
personally I don't understand if you're going to say they have have a union why they can't just get married.
