I couldn't reconcile the miraculous, with the reality.
I couldn't reconcile a loving god, with a the hateful punishment he inflicts on those who don't follow his word, verbatim.
I couldn't reconcile a good and omnipotent god, with a world so full of unnecessary, and unprovoked tragedy.
In the end thought, the reason I don't believe in God, is that there is no reason TO believe in him. There is no evidence of his existence.

Most Folks use Religion to avoid Hell,

some Folks become Spiritual because they've already been through it.

I was into some really evil, dark stuff, on drugs and homeless and I prayed to God to save me. I prayed. I accepted Christ as my savior and life got better, even though it didn't get easier. I'm sure daw or someone else will attempt to refute my testimony, but it is what it is and I have faith that God can save a wretched, cynical sinner such as myself.

I'm not part of an "ORGANIZED" religion. I'm spiritual. I choose this because it leaves me open to explore and research other religions. I don't believe any ONE RELIGION is THE one and only TRUE path to God. We all have the same goal for the most part and so I see no reason to criticize or judge anyone for their beliefs. This includes Athiest, Gay people, ANYONE. I believe how I believe and think people should be free to live as they choose. I will face my judgement day, just as everyone.e else will. I don't want to answer for being hateful and judgemental to others.

-I was raised into it...that makes it easy to adapt to
-I didn't find any religion or alternative way of life that could explain to me the big questions of life better than I already know them (There is a God and he is above all and created us for a reason) for me everything else including the characteristics of the God I believe in are in subject to question and are debatable and that is approved by my own faith I believe in

despite what people (including Muslims) might think; Qur'an actually and always encourages and provokes people into thinking and contemplating about everything around us

faith is completely different from religion. religion is nothing but a name a name that has caused wars and killied millions religion is what made mankind so destructive that they cant be neighbors with someone different but faith is so much more no matter who or what you believe in faith is what gives one man to stand before the world and say enough faith is what makes miricles faith gives a single mother the strength to go on faith tells you when someone dies its ok to cry yes sir you are wright every faith has right but no it is not wrong every faith has one simple law one rule one simple truth something you heard as a kid but you never really reameber (do unto others as you would have others do unto you)... basically what that means is do you wanna die? no so dont kill do you want to be robbed no so dont steal. do you want to be raped? no so dont rape and so one. how ever religion says the opposit it makes a man say die for me and you will be richer in the after life it makes you think ill kill him because he dont follow my god it makes you rape and pillige and starve and so much more and then it does one simple good thing to cover all that bad up i dont follow any religion however ill be the first to stand up before the world and say i have faith

My personality i think, my parents put me into a catholic religious program for a few years but i never believed any of it and took it as a joke. But as long as i could remember i loved mythology and admired the beliefs of eastern ideas, especially Shintoism. Paganism just feels natural to me and makes me feel complete and in the right place.

Doesn't surprise me that so many people are saying "I was raised into it". As far as I'm concerned, a religious identification should have a lot more reason than that.

My lack of religion is due to the fact that none of the mainstream religions appeal to me. I see belief in God as stemming from wanting three things: 1) a way to explain what humans can't explain, 2) control over others, and 3) more meaning in your life. Religion is simply a convenient means to these three things. But convenience is not a means to a belief.

Abrahamic religions and their motivating force of fear of Hell didn't appeal to me. I've never met a Christian who didn't ultimately boil their belief down to Pascal's wager. It's incredibly unfulfilling and hollow.

First, I'm a Theist. No God makes no sense, Everything makes sense with God. All the evidence is for God.

I'm a Christian primarily because Christ authenticated Himself far better than any others who have made religious claims. Christs teachings and life were sublime and deeply accurate with respect to man. Nobody could do what Christ did based on conspiracy or fraud. He proved He was who He claimed to be.

im profoundly non-religious for many reasons, but the main one boils down to the discoveries of modern science pointing completely away from any and all religions around the world.

sure some may look or sound like they are getting close, but even for ancient ppl some things were just way too obvious to describe them any other way, or even have absolutely nothing to do with the subject it supposedly proves

i don't mean to bash anyone's beliefs, i just prefer to side with facts, not faith

What discoveries of modern science point away from God / Design?

Big Bang cosmology confirming an absolute physical beginning or the Universe from Physical Nothing. Borde Guth and Vilenkin (BGV -2003) Mathematical Theorem proved it in the most absolute way possible. That points away from God?

Modern Electron Microscope's allowing us to peer into a cell and discover a radically complex network of integrated machinery with electrical motors, stators, electrical storage and distribution systems....all driven by radically sophisticated DNA software. That's pointing away from God?

I think you have been duped.

yeah, u can't argue because u r wrong on the facts. You are being led around by your nose by public education and media propaganda. You repeat superficial impressions they have misled you to believe, but you cannot begin to defend.

Where is your proof and evidence to justify your belief that No God exists?

Here is a very cursory outline of some of the best evidences for God. The full arguments and evidences are not NOT adequately explained here. This is a very compacted outline I put together - not comprehensive.

Contingency – Why does something exist rather than nothing? Something cannot begin from nothing without a cause, so Something must self-exist. Self-existence is necessary. Self –creation is impossible. The Universe began. Universe is not self-existent. Universe requires a causally antecedent agency to explain it’s existence. God does not – no beginning.

Cosmological – Absolute beginning requires a cause. Cause of Physical Universe cannot be Physical. Must be non-physical, space-less, timeless and willful to cause Physical Universe from Physical Nothingness.

u know what, ur hopeless, i try to be reasonable and ur still arrogant enough to just keep bashing!! u go find ur little god that u think is so damned important, im gonna go do something that actually matter in my life

ur not telling me anything i don't already know, and why are u even coming to me for evidence, go talk to the ppl who have spent their entire lives devoted to finding the answers and see if u even last an hour. this is a site for opinions, not debates. i've spent the last 7 yrs studying biology, cosmology, astronomy, philosophy, archeology, geology, botany, name it, all trying to just gain knowledge and have hound nothing that screams "god" to me no matter how far back i go

"before the big bang" so far as i can see it, there didn't need to be a god to trigger it. if u want a quick rundown of the idea just go watch "Curiosity: Did God Create the Universe" with Steven Hawking, then go do the research as i did to why he comes to these conclusion, and u may understand why i believe there is no god

again, u want to believe in god, that ur burden, not mine

    good day, sir.............
