Why are the present day religious, who are supposed to be all about love, peace, patience & tolerance, so very much the opposite of this

Who told you that? Parts of the bible was rewritten in September 2001 & a whole lot of people got upset about it. But everyone got caught up in the whole 9/11 thing & it was forgotten. Forgotten by many, but not me! Organized religion rewrites the bible whenever they want something that they can't get any other way. They've been doing if for centuries & they usually do it right around some major event to hide their actions. They rewrite verses, change words, sometimes take out or add whole verses & even whole books. The book of Enoch was once in the bible & now it's not. It was removed so organized religion could gain power over the masses. In the book of Job, towards the end of the book, god asks job a long list of questions that no one seems to know the answer to. If you read the book of Enoch, you can find the answer to every one of these questions. For instance Mazzaroth. Job 38:32 - Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? What is Mazzaroth?

Centuries ago, they used to torture, imprison, put to death, exile, etc, anyone who dared to say that there was life on other planets. Now it's ok, huh? Didn't they have the holy spirit with them during the dark ages? Why didn't the holy spirit tell them way back then that there was life on other planets?

The religious reek of dogmatism, prejudice & bigotry. I can smell it all the way across the internet! They spend all day pushing their beliefs & ideas onto others, They actually believe that they have all of the answers. I have a 127 IQ. I know the bible better than any preacher/priest, because, unlike most christians, I actually read it, studied it & researched it from cover to cover. Don't you find it amazing that people who aren't christian know so very much more than people who say they are christian? Their leaders tell them that they don't have what it takes to discern what the "word of god" says. The leaders tell the masses that only "they themselves" have a direct connection to the divine & they are the only ones qualified to interpret the meaning. This is exactly how they're able to get away with commiting pedophilia. Victims of gospel rip-offs rarely realize that they're victims. They usually stay devoted to their preacher no matter what & view all accusations against him/her as tricks of the devil. Brick by brick you're building your own hell. Beware the person who reads only one book. Beware the fundamentalists. They are dangerous. Nearly every christian proves themselves to be a hypocrite every single time they go to church. Matthew 6;5-6: Do not pray in public, for that's what the hypocrites do - you have already been rewarded. Go home to your room or closet & pray in private & your god will reward you in public. You can go to church & worship your god. You can go to church & praise your god. You can go to church & gather together with other & talk about your daily walk with your god. What you can't do is go to church & pray in public to your god. No hypocrite will enter the gates of heaven. If you want to pray, go to a monastary. Be like the monks & seclude your selves from society, then you can pray all you want to your heart's content. Don't be led by another person in prayer. All you're doing is helping him/her achieve their goals (which is to control you & seperate you from your money), it does nothing for you. The religious love to violate people's rights. Get your butts to church, or you're gonna go to hell. Pay your tithes, or your gonna go to hell. Do what your preacher/priest tells you, or you're gonna go to hell. Those are terroristic threats. There are more gossipers in church than anywhere else (Romans 1:29b-32). They are haters, insolent, arrogant & boastful slanderers. They are senseless, faithless, heartless & ruthless busybodies. Although they know the righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. Proverbs 20:19 - Gossips betray a confidence. The key word here is "betray". What does the bible say the punishment for betrayal is? To be sent to the deepest part of hell & be chewed like bubblegum in the mouth of Satan until the stars burn out! Divide + discourage + destroy + deceive = evil’s language. Consider the words of your mouth; it's wrong to use your tongue for gossip. Keep on walkin' preacher man, walk on by. There's nothing you have to say that has any business gettin' between my ears. I can think of much better ways to use my tongue. I know what my 9 basic human rights are - for instance, my right to have sex - all the sex I want & i'm a huge fan of cunninglingus - it turns me on just as much as he-ing & she-ing! I am 1 million% head-over-heels in love with women! But right now i'm single. I like being single, except for the part about not having a woman. If there are any women out there who are presently "unencumbered" by a man, my question - and offer - for you is, would you like to get "cumbered"? I know definitions to so very many words that most people have never heard of. Like the word "cupidity - inordinate lust & greed, especially for wealth or power. I know the constitution better than any politician. The amendments gets violated more often than anyone knows, because the U.S. people aren't in the know about what the constitution actually says & the people in power love to do things in secret & behind closed doors. I know the civil rights & the world human rights better than any lawyer. Slavery & child labor happens so very much on this planet & people's civil rights gets viloated all the time. That's why there's organizations like the ACLU & why they have so very much influence & power in the courts. No matter how much I study, research & learn, I realize I "know" nothing. No matter how much I learn, there's always more to learn. A person can never know enough.

You have a point. I've met a few & I mean just a few who are actually nice people. But the majority seems to want to just go with the flow, even if they know in their gut that it might be wrong. What really needs to happen is the people in the pews need to hold the people running the show accountable for their actions & attitudes, because the church in the whole is being held responsible for the actions of a few, who also happen to be in positions of authority & power. They hold sway over the masses & the flock just runs with whatever the preacher says without ever using their brains & common sense to check out if it's the right thing to say or do. However, I know i'm right about this, because I was in the various religious churches for nearly 30 years & I experienced these things 1st hand. They're out there & they're running the show. So, are you who say you're doing it right just gonna sit there & let these people get away with it? Because every time they do something wrong, it gives religianity/churchianity a black eye & anyone involved in that particular denomination will be judged as guilty by association, regardless of the denomination. This is why I got away from it all together. No matter which denomination I went to, There was the ones leading the pack who were not living their private life as they lived their public life - piously. If you don't do it 24/7/365, someone's gonna catch you doing the wrong thing at the right time. I know not all african americans are not bad. I have black friends, asian friends, mexican friends that are quality people. If they weren't, I wouldn't have anything to do with them. Race, color or nation of origin doesn't matter. It's who you are inside that counts in my book. I know some quality white people & I know some white people who are absolute trash. I keep my clique small & tight. You ahve to be honest & good to be my friend. Which belief system you belong to doesn't matter. And yes, emotional blackmail is a perfected weapon of the "holy righteous". Love bombing is a dangerous weapon. Look at all the scandals that have been in the news recently involving religianity/churchianity.
