Is it hebephilia? Or give me some opinions on why men (age +20) are attracted to girls (age 13-16)? Another topic that boggles my mind.

Hebephilia is when one is attracted to someone usually around 11 to 14, and ephebophilia is when one is attracted to someone around 15 to 19. Men can be attracted to girls around 16 for a very obvious reason. Because these girls don't look like kids and many of them look like women and possess qualities that men of any age are drawn to. There is a difference between being attracted to someone and acting on it though. And this is definitely not the same as being a paedophile, which is an attraction to prepubescent kids aged 13 or under. That's just sick.

That is so true, and I apologize for the misunderstanding of hebephilia, I am 14 years of age and today a life guard at the local pool commented on my body today. He is in his late 20's and asked my age then told me "that I don't look like most girls my age" then smiled and threw an "Okay" symbol. This has happen more than once from many other men, and I'm sure to many other girls also that is why I asked.
Pedophilia is a very sick thing also, also reading about what goes on in the mind of a pedophile is enough to make me shiver!

No need to apologise :-) The important thing is to realise that there is a difference between a guy who is a paedophile, and a guy who thinks that teenage girls are attractive. Too many people use the word paedophile without actually knowing what it means. I'm sure you'll agree that there is a huge difference between being attracted to a 16 year old, and being attracted to a six year old. Most 16 year olds look like 20 year olds these days anyway.
Having said this, that guy who commented on your body sounds like a bit of a creep. I mean, you told him your age and he still made the comment.

Totally true! Most people think pedophiles are into people under the age of 18 years old but they actually target children under the age of 12 years old. The world is a scary place, and sadly...especially for children.
