Why are Christians not Jewish when the Old Testament is in the Christian Bible?
The Old Testament records God's dealings with His chosen people, the Israelites, and the promise He made to them to bless the world through them. The New Testament records what Christians believe is the fulfilment of that promise, the birth of Christ, His life and the building of His church. Those of Jewish faith regard the Old Testament as their scripture. Those of Christian faith see both the Old and New Testaments as scripture.
Testament means "covenant." Christian Bibles consist of the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament book is essentially the Jewish Bible, also called the Tenakh. The book of the New Testament consists of the writings that document the coming of the awaited messiah, Jesus Christ, and the development of His church.
Originally, the Old Testament was the covenant between God and Abraham, wherein God promised to bless all nations through Abraham's progeny. This promise, Christians believe, pointed forward towards Christ. The Old Testament lists the law, the ten commandments and many rules of observance, as well as history, psalms and wisdom. In the New Testament, Jesus says "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
In Luke 24:44, Jesus said "... all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." And "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Accordingly, Christians believe that the entire Old Testament was preparing God's people for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The fulfilment of the law was accomplished by Christ's death and resurrection.Believers consider themselves not under the Old Testament law, but that by grace with the help of the Holy Spirit they follow the Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2) which is ..."Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22)
the non-jews were followers but original they were jews who did the movement be they believe he was the messiah

I have a question for you. There were all faiths and religions during the life and teachings of Christ, so it should only have been natural to have more prophets come around to proclaim a Messiah. Last I heard, there were no other prophets written of or records written by other prophets in the Jewish religion after Jesus Christ. Why is that?
Believing in Christ , can be done by both Gentiles (the 4 races) & Jewish (specifically came out of Jesus' genealogy ) .
G_D doesn't want man involved in religions . It's about having a personnal relationship with G_D in Christ' name .
There is only ONE faith that has NITY in the end , with G_D as the prefix .
To be with Christ , for an eterNITY = Christianity ,... not a religion .
Religions are men & women trying to WORK their way UP to a god .
It has never , nor will ever happen . He's in a different dimension / dominion , and besides , He has told us that we can't get to Him thru works . Once IN , then works can become rewards , but ya can't get in Via. works .
Christianity is G_D coming DOWN to men & women , that are having this "personal relationship" (not religion) with Him , in Christ' name = the credentials Satan can't do , it's just for mankind . He CAN go in between the various dimensions .

Adam & Eve were having a personal relationship with Christ in the Garden (Tree of Life) , was there any religions running around yet ? No !

Tree of Life "not in flesh yet " , but they could see Him & speak to Him , (Hebrew has 2 definitions for tree , this type was NOT the timber type ; Melchizedek (2 Hebrew words put together which NO man has ever qualified as being) , had no parents & no one knew where He came from or where He went ; the 4th person in the firery furnace with the other 3 , in Daniel 3:24-25 , 536-530 B.C (way before Mary) , and when the 3 came out , not even their clothed smelt of smoke , because G_D is a consuming fire , and decides who is NOT going to get burnt , in the future Lake of Fire .
The 3rd person of The Trinity is The Holy Spirit , and is the ONLY communicator from Heaven (& Heaven is where ever G_D is) , He is when G_D wants to speak to man , and when we "verbally ask" for Him to reside in us , He becomes our comforter ,... and our 3rd part "spirit" body becomes LIVING for the 1st time in our life , Amen .

Once you learn where our other 2 parts come from and why these other 2 parts contain poluted DNA , you'll understand why Isaiah 7:14 says that Jesus / Yeshua / The Messiah would arrive Via. a virgin . It has NOTHING to do with the female , it is ONLY saying that Jesus would NOT have a human father . They're is the problem for all of us , and why having a special mom (Jewish) , won't keep one out of the Lake of Fire .
Of course we don't blame Adam & Eve , nor our parents , because we ALL have sinned as individuals .
Although the Hebrew Bible is still flawless (as well as the KJV) , it is the priesthoods (the 2 you listed) that got poluted .
