Women of all ages go crazy over Oscar nominee George Clooney. But why? According to Health.com, studies suggest that women are drawn to masculine features when they're in the mood to mate, which could explain George's appeal. (Admit it: He's one of the main reasons you're tuning in to the Oscars on Sunday.)

"Masculine" features, like chiseled cheekbones, are associated with higher testosterone levels -- and men with higher testosterone levels had stronger immune systems, one study found. But when men had high levels of cortisol, known as the stress hormone, all of these connections were weaker. And cortisol tends to suppress the immune system, according to Health.com.

In other words, Clooney's way of projecting a calm, cool attitude -- combined with his masculine features -- makes him a bona fide babe magnet. Why wouldn't a woman want a manly man who rarely gets sick, stays calm under pressure and looks good doing it?
However, studies have also found that women who are NOT ovulating and thereby more focused on companionship rather than mating go for a softer, more delicate look -- like Ryan Gosling's, Health.com says. Which type of man do you find sexier: manly men or pretty boys?

George Clooney is just plain good-looking, and I don't usually go for brown eyes. If he had blue eyes, I'd probably have a heart attack so maybe it's a good thing.
Although not sure why it mentioned Ryan Gosling - he's not pretty or handsome.
And the fairest of them all is Piko-tan. :3
Whatever happen in not judging a book by it's cover, kids?
Even someone like Tom Selleck who also has the chiseled features always looked manly. Just don't see it with Clooney. Heck, even Brad Pitt seems more manly to me. Maybe that is why although he wins a lot of awards, Clooney's movies tend to lose money. The women like him, but I don't think too many men view him as a favorite. Just my opinion. Lol.
Incidentally, I'm not very interested in any of those. They're mostly a manufactured type by magazines, movies, etc. The physique still exists, though, of course.
Like a good old southern boy (:
