Who's Less Moral, Men or Women?

As much as men have a reputation for it, I have met more women willing to justify cheating on their significant other than I have found men, but I have met more men willing to do something unethical as long as it isn't specifically against the rules. Women are more inclined to determine moral action based on feelings. Men are more inclined to determine moral action based on rigid definitions. It is how their brains are wired. Men are probably more willing to work the loopholes in the moral definitions, but women are probably more likely then men are to let their feelings define an action as more gray where an outsider would see it as black and white.

I would say that the study would find what ever conclusion it is set up to find based on the method of testing morality. If it is about working around rules, men will be found less moral (it wasn't AGAINST the rules, so it must be okay). If it is about bending or breaking the rules, I think women might be found less moral (but under the CIRCUMSTANCES, what I did doesn't SEEM wrong).

I guess it really depends on the person's psychological past. I chose men because I always feel an urge to break rules at school.

Honestly though, I can't say either one is worse than the other. Sure men lie and cheat, but women do as well (In fact, a poll revealed that women are actually bigger liars than men). Women have screwed up logic, but so do men. Then again, why the hell are we still having these sex wars anyway?

I believe that women have tried to achieve independance emotionally and financially ...for the reason of this. Men still don't get it? They long for love the same as a woman. But unfortunately they are society induced since the beginning of time..to get their libido fix to reconfirm their masculinity! It seems more and more men are becoming weaker to this.
Women with their independance....have achieved a way...to gain security so as not to fall victim to the ignorance of 'some' men.. therefore not be hurt or dragged down.

unfortunately men women...we are still conditioned differently..are we so different no! but conditioned differently.

Time for a cool change? i think so! Men need to step up to the plate quit whining about his last ex who was so mean...like ok?????? and do some soul searching. Is it possible?

Women are by far worse than men in terms of morality. Women are extremely inconsiderate, greedy, materialistic, deceptive, moody and self centered. They're a bunch of Miss Piggies thinking the world is coming to them. They feel they are entitled to everything as men misguidedly give them everything to get their affection. They're far worse than men! There's no comparison. Women are human parasites!

I'm very serious. However the privilege women get might be a societal problem that weak men have allowed to occur. Women would be a lot different if men treated them differently, meaning men should treat them no better than men. That would solve the problem. Women don't respect men that treat them too well anyway, so it has a double bad effect.

Idiot is seems to be OK when men cheat but when its a woman there is a moral issue, and it would not be good to be known as the town slut.. I never heard the phase you stated - I way I heard it is: if you have it flaunt it. Check the map as to how people voted - you will see men won as far as being the cheater.

Problem, Woman get by with it, so you just don't know, woman I guess stick with one cheating man and men might have more, but look and the sluts on the streets sleep with anyone that will pay them, that is cheating for money.

Why would a man pay a woman for that - knowing she is there for all to have - you can never know what you might catch from the street.

This question is poorly worded, as there should be a specific immoral behavior in the question, because I don't think one group is any worse than the other when it comes to immoral choices & behaviors. They each have their own immoral idiosyncrasies. Men "tend" to lean more toward sexual degeneracy & women toward gossiping, maligning & backstabbing. Both sexes lie, cheat, break promises & judge others in pretty much an equal manner, although women tend to hide it better (in other words, they tend to be better liars). All immoral attitudes & behaviors are injurious to self, loved ones, & society at large.

Men are most definitely more immoral than women? Loks who's responsible for the all the troubles in the world for the thousands of years, especially wars? It's men not women.

I bet for every man who causes trouble, there's at least one woman egging him on or manipulating him.

Of course there are alot of women who are ogresses who are very nasty, hateful, manipulative, and oppurtunistic. But I still think that more men are amoral than women.

Consider the fact.. I almost have no respect for my own gender...and love being around men. Women are the vote for me. But yet...who really gives a crap on eachother gender's immorality? We're suppose to enjoy life.

So, you're all for everyone being immoral? If that's the case, you've got a rough life ahead of you!

Both are equally immoral in different ways.

I've heard far more stories of women throwing each other under the bus, being underhanded, and dirty, players... really, it's something that served women throughout history, provided they were good enough to get away with it.

Men are the less moral gender, if you look at the surface things. But all in all, women (I believe) are far worse than men, if only because they are constantly (though not necessarily consciously) looking for a way to get what they want, and are always ready to play the hand that life gives them, regardless of what the consequences may be for them, or (and this is more likely) the men.
With men, more often than not, what you see is what you get. Don't ever trust a woman at face value like that . . .!

Speaking as a man myself I think men are definitely less moral than women. But in later decades women less moral and started to act like men, meaning that they are becoming more greedy and more ruthless in getting what they want since they many have climbed the ladder of success and getting jobs. that were once normally held by men like CEOs. Women could be definitely be ruthless, but men are definitely more ruthless.

Speaking as a female, I'm not so sure. Men seldom get a chance to really feel a woman's bite, that's usually reserved for other woman.
But there really isn't any way of knowing for sure.

The answer is really - the same. The funniest thing to me in this survey is that women (off the charts) think men are more immoral.....they love to blame the men...and justify their own bad behavior...hmmmmhmmmm

Actually, I've seen more women respond on here that they believe BOTH men & women are about equal, but if anything, women hide their immoral behavior better. Men tend to make them into trophies, I think.

I say both can be immmoral. Everyone has told lie including women. Everyone has someting that is considered immoral such as stealing or gossiping.

You only have to look at the current congressional male population to see that. The more money they have the less morals. Apparently, having a lot of money excuses those transgressions. I am not saying woman don't sin, they do. But the proportionate lack of morals between men and women has men at the top. Sorry guys, but every man I have known cheated on his spouse at least once, regardless of the consequences to his family/children. The unmarried ones cheated on their girlfriends.

You may be right about the men, but you seem to be forgetting all of the women who lie, gossip, malign, & undercut their own sex, not to mention the ones who are users & players. I think men see their immoral activities as trophies, & women try to keep theirs secret. Also, Pelosi & Hillary are not exactly saints when it comes to current congressional behaviors . . . (e.g. telling lies, manipulating others, insider trading).

That is true about those women, but the majority are men and apparently these women feel as though they must mimic their male counterpart's behavior in order to fit in and be accepted. It is a shame that so many of the younger generation have become morally lost and follow the behaviors shown in today's vulgar movies, and popular celebrities, believing it is the proper way to act.

However, much of this behavior is encouraged by clothing manufacturers, believe it or not. Designing clothes that at one time would have seemed scandalous are filling the clothing racks with nothing but. Modest clothing is very hard to find these days at the malls where the teens shop. We had to go to 4 different shops to find jeans for my grand daughter that didn't buckle below the navel.

Parents are also to blame for this trend for allowing their young girls to dress in inappropriate attire so they can blend in at school. We can't be a friend and a parent at the same time. Parents can't go to the prom and friends don't discipline them. We must learn when to say no if we want our children to grow up right.

Men are worse, but only because the women tell them men are worse, and men want to be manly.

I think they run neck & neck in immoral behavior. Men tend to see the behaviors as trophies to obtain, & women tend to use subterfuge to hide their moral failures.

I think you're probably right about the neck and neck thing. However, I see some men using subterfuge and some women being straight about it.
Now I have pretty much accepted that we all have our moral limitations, I prefer to associate with people who are open and honest about their own failings.
