Thursday night, everyone and their mother hit the red carpet, and if they weren't at Fashion Night Out or the Democratic National Convention, they were at the MTV VMAs. Rihanna's new tranformation was very nice, she didn't look scandalous anymore, this look is definitely working for her, and taylor swift looked more prominent and expensive, wow that jacket works

I didn't watch. It's just another dumb award show. Music videos used to be really cool little movie vignettes. Now they are virtually invisible, being shown after MTV and BET and VH1 show venal reality shows. Why should people get awards for things a very few people ever see? It's like having awards for opera,
