You two have more history together so it's bound to work out. I mean you already know him really well so you know what to expect. Ethan on the other is someone you don't know to well so if you pick him you might start to get to know him better and realize you can't stand his personality. Here's how I see it if you're looking for a long term relationship go for Xavier, but if you don't really want a long term relationship just one that lasts for a few months go for Ethan. Really just go with your gut you know there's one you prefer so pick him! Also if you pick Xavier and the relationship goes all wrong you could risk your friendship but probably not.
