Neighborhood pizzerias in almost any borough in New York. I can still smell them and taste them. Those were the days my friend.

Sobik's used to be really good. But they're not in my area any more.

I cannot remember the name of the place cause it's been 50 years since I've been there but I know it is still there cause my cousin still goes there. It is in New Orleans. They use a super tasty sourdough bread and if it can go between two pieces of bread they have it. Everything from avocado to zebra milk cheese.

Their best sandwich is their Cajun style gumbo sandwich. They make their morning gumbo extra thick with tons of extra everything. If you don't want the gumbo, then they'll put the solids in between the bread. It is SOOO good!!!

Their beef is so tender It is like cotton candy melting in your mouth. They have over 100 different cheeses and 6 types of ham. Oh and they have bison and beef-a-loo as well. They have venison and bear too if you want a very strong game taste meat.

Dang I wish I could remember the name of the place.

It used to be that every small town, every large neighborhood had a mom and pop Submarine Shop. Every memorable sub I have ever had came from those little shops.
