Who Inspires You to Be Yourself?

My parents, husband and friends all inspire me to be myself in different ways.

My parents taught me to be myself growing up. Always be true to myself.
My husband believes in me and loves me for who I am.
My friends love my quirks and loves that I'm just not fake.

I would say the one I love, or those who guide me to be on the right path. But it has to be the RIGHT ONE, that I believe I can change, on how they act, no matter how much they want to resent me, or hide from me. just talk, let me share my feelings for you, and I believe that I can change your mindset, and mine aswel. I know how these people, cus I've delt with these sort of female mindsets a DOZEN TIMES OVER. If I stray from the path that is not correct, I lose that person, cus of actions, there afraid of. let me be that person to help you kaia, on the path of happiness, instead of fleeing. these are the reasons that keep me motivated. sitchuations that are new to me, that I like to solve. other ppls problems. Not mine. I know what I'm doing. but is that person, also saying it? but for a quick get-a-way? or, is it because of personal problems? this I asure you, I can help you out in.

i picked friends meaning some friends inspire me to be stronger or to keep going but generally i like being my own and unique character do things i like and hope to be accepted by the people that surround me the way i am

I inspired myself to be myself because when I was not I learned very quickly that that did not work out to well at all.

Actually not them. My grandparents, and the only reason they're before my parents is that you do not want to disappoint them and they hold me in high respect now so I just have to work harder.

Well actually it is me, but if anyone else gets credit it would be my friends.

I'm 24, but I have a friend couple who are in their 70's. The man, Jo, lived through the Vietnam war, survived being almost blown up twice as well as many other deeply-rooted experiences. He maintains a very..."to hell with you" attitude when it comes to people who don't treat him right. If you don't like something that he said or did, that's just too bad for you. He may not have too many friends, but the ones that he does have respect and gratitude for the loyal and sincere friendship that he offers. He's the first person to kick my ass when I'm being unreasonable or to tell me exactly what he is thinking without holding back. I value his friendship higher than most because he encourages me to be myself no matter what, and if someone doesn't appreciate who you are, then they have no business being your friend. To Jo, my friend and mentor!

You've got it all WRONG . You are missing the best answer of all. How about YOURSELF. I have been dancing to the beat of a different drummer my whole life and I did that just because it is who I am. I didn't need anyone to tell me to do this. In fact all throughout life I just saw things slightly differently. I wasn't a weirdo...just a creative soul. Eventually, after 36 years of teaching children, when I retired this year, my uniqueness and creativity was honored as making me the teacher everyone wanted. A far cry from my student teaching experience where I was told I would have to follow the beaten path like everyone else if I wanted to make it in this profession. I never could. So I took my love of enriching others and my dramatic flair and paired them together and students flourished under my charge. I certainly didn't need ANYONE to tell me that, or my parents, who adored me, but wanted me to be more conservative, to inspire me to be something I wasn't. I was just me. So I remained true to myself. As Shakespeare wrote..." TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE!"

If I had to say who inspired me it would be the great poets, writers, artists since time began. All those innovative souls who HAD to invent or create something wonderful. And know deep down it was essential to their very existence. We need to find inspiration in the world around us and not depend so much on others....but trust in ourselves.

Well there is your problem kids !!! Two generations of teaching “diversity” and nothing else and now you have to be inspired just to “be”... with all the time and energy it takes just to “be” none of you have anything lets to devote to DOING anything !

Now that I'm here, the only moral choice here is PARENTS. My mother would be the most inspiring person in my life. She always taught me to be myself, to be true to myself
and to others and never compromise myself for anyone or anything.

ive always been myself who else am i going to be?? i was raised to be self confident and independent. and i raised my kids the same way.
