Who has been the most influential person in your life in the last year?

My brother has helped me through everything this year. My dad cheating on my mother, their divorce, and he has helped me with relationship problems that me and my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years have been having. He has been the only constant thing in my whole life. He has pulled me away from arguements between my parents alot when i was younger. He used to hide me in hiding spots when they were argueing and told me we were playing hide and seek. I realize now it was because he didnt want me to hear. We've had our problems, im not going to lie. But he has also been the BEST friend i could ever ask for.

my Grand PA, who died in December. he was 98 yrs old. he was the most amazing person I have ever known. Thanks Grand Pa.

i have to say my dad. he recently moved to TN near us and with the kind of year i had, i thank God he was here for me! He helped me more than he knows.

This past year it was my daughters. They were there for me the most this year.

Best friend Chris passed on Jan 29. It has been such a long and crazy year. Such a great person. You hear the phrase
"good guy" often but it's rare that you meet a person who is genuinely a selfless person. He's had an influence on me mainly because I feel obligated to try and carry on the selflessness and overall class A type of man he was.. Best friend - Front man for our Band - Co Worker

My second major inluence was the passing of my half-brother's father a month later.. He battled M.S. for 30 years and finally sucummed to it. He was absoluetly the best man I've ever known in terms of faith and godliness.

When you have the oppurtunity to get to know people like this and realize that such selfless caring genuine people really do exist, the loss of their lives is extremely humbling.
It really makes you ask yourself, "who am I to be alive when this seemingly flawless godsend of a person is dead"

My whole family.
My mother: Hurt me a lot of times in my heart, but this made me stronger and I realized that even if I love her I never want to be like her.
My father: Learned me to work hard for my life.
My sister: Showed me that its never good to be a cold person.
My brother: He is my everything. He was always there for me and teached me a lot of things that a very important for my life.

I love my family but I would have break in the last year when I didnt have my brother.

and MCR, it's kinda a tie between the two. Without MCR, I am certain I wouldn't be alive right now, and they have really helped me through this year.

My children. I live my life as positively as I can, in hopes that they will learn from my examples, and I want them to continue to respect me, and look up to me, so I would never knowingly do anything to jeopardize that. Yes my kids influence the way I live my life.

My 2 year old. Because I almost killed myself. No. I didn't really try, but he's got terrible 2's!!! HELP ME! I need more wine...

My mother. She will always be. She started at nothing. and became everything. She raised me on her own. I'm so proud of her.

I'm not alone, but, I am on my own if you understand the difference. I am the support, so I give it but rarely get it. I find most people in my life think I am strong enough that they don't feel the need to be 'there for me' so I find I handle most things alone. I am not the kind of person that asks for help often, but because they think I'm the strong one, even when I ask they say stuff like, "oh, you can handle it' or 'you always know what to do' and shrug it off.
