Who Does the Majority of the Food Shopping in Your Household?

I will never let my husband near the stove again.. he has tried to burn the place down more than once lol

My mother had MS and when I was a teen, she taught me to cook as she could not get around that well.
When not teaching, I have been a cook at a summer camp- feeding 250 kids and counselors 3 meals a day for 8 weeks and baking 35 loaves of bread every three days, not to mention the sugar cookies and snickerdoodles.

I get my own groceries and plan meals!

My husband of 12 years now has never stopped amazing me and even though I tell him to slow down a bit I guess he never will till he is called home. I really thought it was just new marriage and would wear off but it hasn't. He does almost all the shopping, cooking, house cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing the kitchen sinks and bathrooms, makes the bed every morning and DOES WINDOWS. He is good with our kid's and is up before first light making coffee. In all of our time together he has never gone out with the boys and dislikes sports. He could care less about a TV and being a couch potato. He would rather be out hand washing the Caravan or fixing something. We eat a good home cooked meal every night and the kitchen is spotless when we are done eating and everything is in the dishwasher. All my girlfriends say..."well, if you ever get tired of him let us know" Sorry girls...I have a keeper.

It used to be that my mom did all the shopping. After my sister and I got our licenses, my mom took that to mean that we were now able to go food shopping, and she never had to go ever again, especially when she started working part-time. Now that my mom works full-time and both my sister and I are off at college, our dad buys the food. He even cooks now too!

I buy the food, cook it, and clean up after. The wife eats ...... anyone else see the problem?

Yes sir that's me. Even when I was working I had to do everything also. Seems like people never change. Sad for us respectable adults.

He insists on going with me when the shopping involves Super Bowl stuff LOL. Apparently I've screwed it up a few times.. :)~

My mum is the major bread winner, my father passed away and we dont live with any men, I do most of the grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning (I'm pretty sure that I count as one of the kids).

My mom. I help out. I take Inventory, help make the list, Load up the car, and put away Groceries.

Then again I live in house full of women so...

i am the woman in the house and i indeed do most if not all of the shopping in my household.
so... nothing wrong w/ that.
