I guess you're talking about an artificial tree? Maybe someone gave it to them as a gift and they didn't want it.....just saying....lol

I know.....my friend was there yesterday and saw seven people returning their Christmas tree. He said only one exchanged it and one actually saying that he longer needed it....image that!

lol lol This gets funnier by the minute. I've returned a lot of things, but never a tree. Maybe I'll try to exchange mine....of course they might frown on that, I've had it since 1980. lol Think I could get my money back? lol lol

Got a receipt? Think that would have to be under the 90 days. But hey who knows you just might. What is funny is they do all these postings for Halloween saying sales are final and no returns allowed....you think they would do the same for Christmas? Go figure.... amazing!

    LOL... NOOOOOOOOOOOO way!

I saw a guy bring back a weed eater to a big box store once. The thing looked like it was left in a mud puddle. They took it... I was amazed.

That was what I was thinking. I could not believe that the person had the nerve and that they actually took the thing back. WOW! But, that gets customer loyalty for sure. They make enough money.

I'll take things back after use if it does not perform as I think it should... but that is rare.

Very true and you seem like an honest person. That is what I think returning items was meant for....others just abuse it and if they keep that up I for see it "as is" only!

Yes, I'm the kind of person when I find the piece of plywood on the cart that I wasn't charged for I will actually go back inside and pay for it.

I believe in that rule "do unto others....." I like piece of mind... it means more to me than any monetary gain.

LoL....reminds me one time when I didn't get charged for my vanilla frap and went back in and they told me not to worry about it. As I was walking out I just happened to turn
around and saw the manager yelling at the cashier and of course I walked right back into that situation and spoke my peace to both.

That's an interesting story. Like it would kill them to let you have it. The manager could have made a lot of points with costumers if he/she had also gave the incident a blessing. Kudos for you going back to speak to them!

Me too. Helps me sleep at night. Once I mistakenly got another customers deli order in my grocery bag. It was an expensive order, too. I called the grocery store to tell them I'm bringing it back, but under Massachusetts law it's deemed unsafe to bring back food items that can be opened and tampered with (as in the Tylenol scare).
    I tried.

    What else could you do?

I've had several instances where I was not charged and people are shocked when I go back in. My karma is good that way I was recently at a store and they overcharged me for something and the guard at the exit actually caught it. And we thought they were only their for "looks". LOL

ewwww... that's why they have "open item" tags/sales, you get a discount knowing that it had been sold and brought back but not broken...

I was really disgusted what I had saw...they could at least washed it. Told the manager too how I felt. Ever since then when he sees me he asks me how I am doing and remembers my name. But then again my name is kinda hard to forget:-)
I have had to show my license several times because they think I am joking and I still don't get a discount when I go to the Adidas outlet store:-(

My mother in heart used to get a food processer and use it, then return it to Walmart or Kmart every year... said she didn't need it year round, just for the holidays.. I was scandalized, never heard of doing that kind of thing before. I finally bought one and kept it at my house to loan to her for the holidays.. other than that she was an ideal mom!

In this economy I wouldn't be surprised. Fortunately I'm blessed to be making it but there are still a lot of people out of work. I would never do it but some are so stressed by the holiday I can see it happening.

Well, it could be someone who genuinely got a defective product or it could be an unethical jerk.
