It's tough since I'm pretty close with both my parents. It would probably be easier to pick a side if they split up, but they have stuck together for almost forty years now.
That's a good father, alright. But what does your last sentence mean? ...has always done everything against his will for us? that's not understandable. You had siblings? who wanted to do things different than what he wanted for you?
Me and my Mom are pretty close, sometimes its a bit harder for me when I go to my Dad to talk about certain things. I guess its because if your a girl sometimes, it could be because your going through some changes.
Is that because you're a Zelda fan? I understand not everyone loves the franchise, but he really needs to lighten up and give the games a chance. OOT was awesome!
It's very sad. But I've always been closer to my dad--he's had patience with me and always tried to have a relationship with me. My mother, on the other hand, has often preferred me dead. She just overall despises me, and it hurts....really bad. Because a girl needs her mother, not a ax-wielding emotion executioner.
My dad went AWOL after I turned 4. For a while he did the whole weekend dad thing. But then that ended. And we never saw him again. I guess he had his issues. So my Mom took care of all five of us all on her own. And God bless her for it.

My dad is a dirtbag! he is an abuser and sadist. He attempted to kill me several times and my mom too when she was pregnant with my brother. But today I'm happy though I live under the same roof with him just because of mother. She gave me and my brother a new life and devoted her life to us. I'll pray to god to give everyone a mother like her and not to give father like him even to my enemy.Do I need to say anything more?
Definitely my dad, we get along perfectly and he's the best man I've ever met. Plus, he introduced me to both great movies like Star Wars and LOTR and great bands like KISS and Iron Maiden.
I used to be closer to my dad when I lived with him, but we have drifted apart. I'm not really close with my mom either because we don't like any of the same things. Our personalities clash a lot too. We see each other and talk more often though, so that's why I voted for her.
