My Granddaddy had a porch like the one in the bottom picture. It still stands today and we still gather there with wonderful memories and laughter of the days gone by.
He was a God fearing man, and he used to walk the woods and pick up rattlesnakes and take them to the back roads churches and sold them for three dollars a piece.

RIP Granddaddy n Mammaw...miss those days.....and times

We sure had some laughs. All we needed was one another and the love our family/friends shared. But when Granddaddy invited us to church on Sunday nights, he cleared the porch

thanks for sharing that....but im afraid i would take up his invitation....LOL ...and my porch is concrete so we dont have to worry too much about uninvited guests but why do i suddenly want to put my shoes on? :-)

Well he would have considered you a welcomed and faithful soul, friend, especially if you offered to go to Sunday night service, or even the woods for that matter. I can hear him giggling now....and if you hear a rattler somewhere in the distance or in the dark of night....well...... grab it up....but make sure you know who is holding onto ya!

Got more important things to do rather than participate in this kind of trivial agenda. . . Thanks Anyway. Going to see my Mom and Daughter down in NC this weekend. They are real rednecks, as is I.

Being a Southerner and growing up Red Neckked, rough "scuttred" and "hamboned", I don't understand the put down the Democrats give us. As a little Boy the Democrats were still fighting the Civil War, carried the Confederate flag everywhere or at least a pickture of it in their wallets if they had a wallet. Truth is the Demmerkats has gotten aful "UPPITY" since they went and became Communists. They claims they knows how hot the Earth shall be a hunnert years from now when theys kaint figger how to fix the econemy instead o' causin' more misery than what we had in the first place.
I think I has figgered out why Obama is acceptble to the Demerkrats . He's from Africa and not one of the local born Blacks.

Now, being called White Trash is fighten words and is likely to be answered with some sort of violence, but jus' fo' now I is gonna let you all off with a warning. Now you pay out in trespecting us.
