Worry manifests itself in a slew of physical, psychological, emotional & spiritual ailments which surely lead to ones' early demise. I definitely agree that this worry can eat at you from the inside. While eating fatty foods are not particularly healthy, there are other measures which can be taken to counteract their negative impact, i.e., exercise.
Definately worry, it eats people up from the inside out and there is many who cant handle it so they kill themselves. It makes people have break-downs and it puts many in hospital. Worry is by far the biggest killer out of worry and junk food!!
The body is the temple of the soul. How to tend our physical being is much more clear than figuring how to tend our spirits...in my view, and is very helpful to our mental well-being.
For many years I gave public talkss on stress management. Getting people to increase their endurance and capacity for stress was far easier than helping them to undertake cognitive restructuring. I was also a Reality Therapist. I don't disagree about the hazards of stress, only on the realistic solutions to it.
Where as, under normal food intake, the bodies defenses can work against the effects of worry.
