Zombie

OK, enough with the uber-trendy celeb costumes. If you want to go traditional this year and still have some sort of relevance -- "The Walking Dead" and Zombie Apocalypse, anyone? -- go with a good ol' zombie.
  1. Charlie Sheen

    Charlie Sheen

With a simple mask and a bottle of Tiger Blood in hand, Charlie Sheen is probably the most popular Halloween costume of 2011. Now all you have to do is perfect the phrase "Winning!"

  2. Angry Birds

    Angry Birds

Sure, it's an iPhone app, but that doesn't mean "Angry Birds" can't be an awesome Halloween costume. Just try not to fling yourself into a stack of bricks during a Halloween party.

  3. Princess Beatrice, Royal Wedding

    Princess Beatrice, Royal Wedding

The royals know her as Princess Beatrice, but the rest of us have come to recognize her as the crazy princess who wore that ridiculous had to the Royal Wedding.

  4. Arnold Schwarzenegger

    Arnold Schwarzenegger

A slightly amended version of the regular "Ah-nold" Halloween costume, this year, all you have to do is add a love child prop doll into the mix.

  5. Lady Gaga, 2011 Edition

    Lady Gaga, 2011 Edition

OK, so Lady Gaga has been a popular costume choice for a couple years now. But there are just so many ridiculous outfits to choose from! This year, trade in the meat dress for the new 2011 Grammys egg look.

  6. Steve Jobs

    Steve Jobs

As the ultimate tribute to the man who gave us the world's most cutting-edge technology, a Steve Jobs costume would be a great way to show your love. Plus, it's a really easy DIY costume.

  7. Pregnant Bella

    Pregnant Bella

We're sure Bella and Edward from the oh-so-popular "Twilight" series have been popular costumes in the past. But now the vampire lover has a bun in the oven, which makes the look so much more hilarious.

  8. Zombie

    Zombie

OK, enough with the uber-trendy celeb costumes. If you want to go traditional this year and still have some sort of relevance -- "The Walking Dead" and Zombie Apocalypse, anyone? -- go with a good ol' zombie.

Anode Shortzpecker is definitely scary. I almost picked Princess Beatrice, though. lol That would look awesome with green skin, a witch's outfit and face.

Actually, from what *I've heard* Arnold can be quite charming. You may be falling for all the negative "spin"on Arnold, as have most people.

lol I think Anode's charm is what got him into trouble in the first place. Couldn't keep his fingers off women other than his wife. :)

Most are ridiculous. I thought the Angry Birds costume was kind of funny, although I would never wear that either.

Liking candy does not make you a loser... Failing in your message grammar and spelling might though...

Haha. I agree. Any 13 year old should know how to use proper grammar. I mean, I assume s/he is taking an English class? It's not that hard. But I will agree with candy. Everyone likes a bit of candy occasionally.

Too many kids these days are just too lazy to use the spell checker that is probably built into their browser (or even an external one). Perish the thought that they might actually use a *dictionary*... Plus, they think that proper communication consists of text message speak -- using things like "4" instead of "for", "ur" instead of "your" or "you're", "u" instead of "you", etc. Is it unrealistic to expect proper use of the English language in written communications? Using shortcuts like those just makes the writer look unintelligent.

Actually, in a digital world they make perfect sense to use. If you don't unlimited texting or have a maximum character count per post in IM type chatting, writing in such a way can give you the maximum potential to get your message across in the shortest time. It's not appropriate to use in every forum, but this is a site for polling people, so it hardly matters.

umm i'm not going to use the dictionary just to look up words for a comment on the internet, however, this doesn't mean i'm unintelligent. i have never gotten below a ninty five on an english paper, thank you very much.

Which is a reflection on the education system unfortunately... And the laziness of the students...
  • lmnlme1... Jake Bl... 2012/02/02 23:27:04
    lmnlme10921
Yeah, I'm lazy. I'm in ninth grade and am already enrolled for certain scholarships because of my grades and writing abilities. On top of school, I also currently have a job. I'm very involved in my church and usually have up to three youth activities a week just because of this. Yes, I'm extremely lazy. Not to misquote King, but I'd say that's a remarkably astute analysis.

    *Notice the heavy sarcasm

Last time I checked, "your" actually happens to be a real word.
  • Jake Bl... lmnlme1... 2012/02/02 23:11:50

But if you use it when "you're" is more appropriate, it makes you look only one step above illiterate.

in my english class, we focus more on interpretating and understanding writing, and im in pre AP. so, no, not all english classes are big on grammer.
  • Jake Bl... lmnlme1... 2012/02/02 23:14:40

The people who say that grammar is not important are also the people who are really bad at grammar... Note that it is "grammar", not "grammer"... If you can't spell, use a browser or browser add-on that highlights your spelling mistakes...
  • lmnlme1... Jake Bl... 2012/02/02 23:28:12
    lmnlme10921
Funny, I don't remember ever saying that grammar isn't important.

Really? Getting on a kid's case for that? I'm all for proper grammar and spelling, but I don't berate children about it if I can help it.

I had fun, it's a chance to dress as crazy as you like without getting looked at funny, you get free candy...
    Mmm
    Candy

And not all costumes are for trick or treating.
There's costumes for themed parties and weddings, costume parties, fetishes, role play both sexual and non sexual, costumes for renaissance festival, larp, movies, plays.....
