Mother's Day is almost here, and to celebrate we wanted to give mothers a chance to discuss familial Facebooking, and how social media plays into parenting. Should moms "friend" their kids on Facebook? Do their kids even want to be friended? What do people really think about parents who make Facebook pages for their babies? even though we live together.. but im always gone doing something or shes gone all summer :( but we always talk to eachother on the phone when one of us is gone..

I picked snail mail - because this is going to be my first Mothers Day without my Mom who passed away in January. Before that - when she lived out of state - I always sent a present or flowers and called her. When she moved close to me - I always went to see her and do something with her! Enjoy it folks - you don't know how long you are going to get with them.

We mainly call each other, but we also leave messages on FB or by e-mail. This is especially handy when I am up late and need to leave her a message or when she is up early, lol.

My mother can't really work her text messaging, email is vague, she's not on facebook or twitter, and snail mail is really only good for greeting cards.

However, using just the phone comes with the downside that she also uses it to drunk dial me at 2 AM, just to tell me that she's "been lis'nin to Fank S'natra!" when she and my dad get together with some family friends. o.O
